I Am Jackie Chan: My Life in Action

I've always been a Jackie fan, since childhood!So when I came across this autobiography I jumped at the chance to pick it up. Now I'm a self confessed lazy reader. I may read like 20 or so pages each night at a push. However, once I picked this up and finished the first chapter I was hooked!Its filled with everything to do with Jackie's life, right down to the smallest of details!I also loved the added collection of childhood pictures, and the short introductions in his own words to each of his movies in the back of the book! (I still glance over that the odd time I throw on a Jackie movie, just to see his thoughts on how it turned out).Fan or not, this is a great read regardless.

I bought this for my mom, and she LOVES it. She doesn't understand much english, but she translate it on Google Translate. I of course help her, if it doesn't make any sense.If you like to hear about Jackie Chan's life, this is the book. I read some of it, and he writes how he with his father visited a opera, where he ended up living. He also writes, what he felt when he jumped down of a building, (I dont remember exactly what floor it was, but high).My mom really loves this book, as she really loves Jackie Chan :D I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Jackie Chan :D

I've got the book in absolutely new condition - just like it had been promised.The annoying thing was that it wasn't sent by trackable way (did I miss the option wile ordering or why?) -so I was nervous: I ordered it 5 July and got it 17 of August.A strange thing: some time after my purchase the Ukrainian Amazon tried to take money from my credit card -but fortunately didn't succeed...I would recommend the book to everybodywho love Jackie Chan, who is interested in cinema, Chinese culture or biographies.

I enjoyed reading this and it was great to get an insight into how he grew up and his life in the industry.I did feel it could have been slightly more comprehensive and his relationship with his wife and son is only really touched on which is understandable I guess but slightly disappointing to the reader given how it has been reported that he barely saw them and effectively has written Jaycee out of his will etc.Nice to read about his lifelong friendships with Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung though.Another important thing to note is that the timeline only runs up to the first "Rush Hour" film due to the publish date no doubt.I'd still recommend this book to any discerning Jackie Chan fan though although it might not answer all your questions

I am a fan of Mr Jackie Chan after reading this book honestly.Huge respect & admiration to him & what he has achieved through hard graft & dedication.This is actually the second time I have purchased this & I still enjoyed it.A good read.

This is a fantastic book for all Jackie Chan fans. Once I started reading it i could not put it down. This book gives a great insight to how he became a living legend. Highly recommended.

Good book in good condition and delivered fast. Cheap too. The book is clean enough for kids to read and I let our 10 year old read it as a lesson in how easy his own life is. It seemed to work and he has even more respect for Jackie Chan now.

One of the best autobiographies out there. Period! So many great anecdotes about the life of this superstar, it literally plays out like on of his movies...

Estaba marcado como buen estado y así lo es, mejor de lo que esperaba. Páginas amarillentas, lo normal por el paso del tiempo, pero por lo demás perfecto.

Das Buch ist geschrieben, wie ein Film. Das war mein erster Eindruck, als ich es gelesen habe. Bildhaft, episodenhaft, sehr persönlich. Komplett mit Liste von Jackie's Filmen (bis 1998) und seinen Verletzungen (auch bis 1998). Vor allem die Geschichten aus Jackie's Jugend sind Gold wert.
