Gaudi a Genius.

This glorious picture book was gifted to me for Christmas and I love it. Not many words maybe, but the great Antonio was a visual artist who worked with his eyes and therefore the superb photographs by Melba Levick are the most important for me.The nice format soft pages open smoothly like gentle waves rather than twang-out standing to attention like some books.

This is a book of photographs. The text is secondary, merely brief and functional. The trouble is, the photographs barely do justice to the real thing. Seeing is believing with Gaudi, and there is no substitute for going to the buildings and seeing them with your own eyes to fully appreciate their scale and other-worldliness. Still this book will keep you going until your next trip to Barcelona.
