Great for preventive maintenance
If you've ever had water start pouring on your head while driving in a rainstorm, it's probably because your sunroof drains are clogged with debris. This little tool will help to prevent that problem from happening in the first place. The wire is fairly stiff--and it has a nice, smooth coating on it--so it should be able to be pushed through the accumulated gunk; however, this tool will probably work best when used to maintain a drain in good working condition. The vehicle I used to test this cleaner is garage-kept about 95% of the time, so the sunroof drains didn't have a significant amount of junk in them. However, the little bit that they had was easily removed, especially when a little bit of water or other car-safe cleaner is used in the drain to lubricate the tool and help loosen the gunk. This tool probably has only a limited number of times that it can be used before it will need to be replaced, but it should last longer on well-maintained sunroof drains than if used on severely clogged drains. At this price point, though, it's fairly cheap maintenance.

Makes quick work of cleaning sunroof drain holes.
This brush is like a longer and more flexible version of a straw-cleaning brush. It pushes easily into the drain holes of my sunroof, and it was obvious that I needed it. The dirt, grime, and sludge that came out was a problem just waiting to happen. It only takes a minute or two to get the cleaning done. Open your sunroof, spray some cleaner of your choice into the drain holes, and push the brush through. My drain tubes exit in my door jambs and I was able to see the sludge that was being pushed out of the drains. I ran the brush through a few times on each side, then poured some water though to rinse them until they were clean.I've had a drain clog and leak in the past, but those days are gone thanks to this brush.
