Jesus Was with Me All Along: A Book About Autism

I ordered Jesus was with Me All Along and that's what I thought I received until the book was opened. Inside the book "Jesus was with Me All Along, A Book About Divorce; by Julie Mastel I found a surprise. The book I actually received once I opened the cover is "St. Blaise: Patron for Children with Sore Throats," by: Mary Lagneau. I wanted to help a child through a divorce, not a sore throat.Do not order this product until the publishers have corrected there gross error!

THE BOOK IS ABOUT HOW AIRPLANES WORK, NOT ABOUT HELPING CHILDREN WITH DIVORCE!

Divorce as well as death of a parent brings on all kinds of sad emotions, hurt, anger, guilt, abandonment, and the feeling of being alone. Julie Mastel's book reminds children they aren't alone, that Jesus is with them. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."(Isaiah 41:10) This book offers peace for children who hurting from the effects of divorce.

I bought this little book because the author is a member of my community, but mostly because my little grandson's parents split up a few months ago. At 3, he has been grieving the loss of his mom and wondering if it was his fault. It's amazing how hurt a little one can be when these things happen. I read this book to him, even though it is recommended for children just a little older, and I was amazed that he related to it so well. He now asks to read this book every weekend when he visits us, and sometimes twice in one day. It seems to speak to him in a language and at a level he can understand, and even though the subject matter isn't fun or happy, the message is uplifting and positive.(I purchased this book directly from the author.)

This book helps children to understand bedwetting is nothing to be ashamed of and that they will outgrow it. It's a wonderful way to open a discussion up with a child dealing with this issue. The book includes a Spanish version of the story as well.

This book is perfect for talking to kids about divorce. It reassures them that it is not their fault. It also reassures them of God's love. This book is a real blessing!
