It's hard to get excited about a cable...
It's difficult to get excited about a cable and even less so when you're paying over £20 for one that is supposed to perform a relatively simple task. When you see the alternative 'basic' version of the same cable in and around the £8 mark, then it becomes hard to justify splashing out almost three times the price. That was my experience when I purchased an AmazonBasics DisplayPort cable for my new monitor. I have had no issues or bad experiences with AmazonBasics products before so I chose one in good confidence that it would do the job. If you read the speel on the DisplayPort standards website, they also say that there isn't "versions" of DisplayPort cables, as such, just varying levels of build quality. So it seemed like a no-brainer.My monitor is an Asus Ultrawide that has a resolution of 3440 x 1440, running at up to a 100Hz refresh rate. When I got the AmazonBasics cable and plugged it in, all seemed to work fine. I went into my settings and noticed that the panel was running at 75Hz, a little lower than expected. When I did a bit more digging, I also noticed that the display was running at only 6-bit colour instead of 8-bit (the panel is an 8-bit one). Realising I was being limited by the 'DisplayPort 1.1' option on the monitor, I went to the on screen menu and selected 'DisplayPort 1.2' to try and get the full bandwidth of the DisplayPort enabled and enjoy 3440 x 1440 at 100Hz.Unfortunately what happened when I changed inputs to 'DisplayPort 1.2' was a series of flashing black screens. At first they were randomly intermittent and a few seconds long. Then they became long black screens with the occasional flash of the desktop and I had to fight with the monitor's OSD to try and change the input back to 1.1.After resetting the connectors, changing ends of the cable round and fiddling with display settings and Intel graphic driver updates, I was ready to tear my hair out. I decided to try a different cable and upon reading reviews of people with similar experiences, opted for the "Club3D CAC-2068" cable.I plugged it in and everything worked straight away. At first I had 75Hz in 8-bit colour and I tentatively changed the refresh rate to 100Hz (half expecting an unwanted lights show), and it worked fine. Everything running at the full refresh rate in the full colour that was intended to be shown.I didn't think my first review would be on something as exciting as a cable but I hope it will be useful to someone who is perhaps having difficulty deciding which cable to buy or even someone on the verge of returning a perfectly good high refresh rate or 4K monitor because it appears faulty.TLDR; The Club3D cable is undoubtedly expensive by comparison to others but it actually works and does what it is supposed to. The cable is reassuringly thick and has lock-in connectors on the ends.

Had problems, but in the and it's a good cable with good post-sale support.
One star for one reason. I've bought the incorrect length, too short, ok. Bought a 2 meters one which arrived today and I'd returned the shorter one. However I'm not able to REMOVE the cable from my monitor. Does not matter how hard I press the "button" to release it and I'm afraid I'll damage the display port connection of my monitor if I keep trying. The other end came out easily like it should but no matter I'd do the part plugged to my monitor does not come out! What am I supposed to do? Well, I know. I will tear it apart in order to remove it and will send it back as it is.Edit 1Today is 05/02/201, the new cable still rocking good. No problem removing it and inserting again. The cable itself is good and well made, the 1st sure was defective. Recommended!Edit 2Today is 22/07/2020, the cable started to develop a issue, I seeing some really quick horizontal lines in random moments while just browsing internet or when gaming. Swapped to another DP port and the lines are gone. Contacted the manufacturer, let's see where it goes.Edit 3Today is 27/07/2018, The manufacturer fully covered the warranty, I quickly received a new 2 meters DP cable, fitted and the horizontal lines are gone.I can't recommend them more.Updated the rating to 5 stars.

Good enough
Works perfectly with 4k 144hz so it’s legit

Top quality and much improved on-screen imagery
Expensive but delivers what it promised - up to 8K signals to a premium level. Both computer and monitor are relatively new, the monitor the older by a couple of months, the PC less than a month old and were previously connected by an HDMI cable. Now, there is much more 'snap' aka brightness and contrast being delivered. The latching provides secure connections; that was a particular issue with the HDMI cable previously used as, although light, it sometimes disconnected just sufficiently to cause the screen image to flicker. This is also quite heavy, not least due to its multiple levels of shielding and the heavier-gauge of signal cabling. On this performance, there would be no hesitation in buying another when the need arises.

Working DP1.4 over 4m length.
Having just built a new gaming pc, I treated myself to a 4K/144hz monitor. That requires a DP1.4 cable and I actually need 4m to reach to the monitor (clearly the guy who built this house in 1910 wasn't planning for 4K gaming!). Having tried other respected brands, it transpired that they could not guarantee 1.4 capability past 3m. The result was intermittent black screen. This cable (Club3D CAC-1069 DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 x 4m) arrived yesterday, and fingers crossed I've had no black screen since. It's very think, quite stiff and has very solid connectors. +£40 seems a lot for a cable, but not when it's put in context of driving an £800 monitor.Don't scrimp on the cable. This seems very good.

I cannot tell the difference.
I cannot tell the difference with my bare eyes, I buy it because it is VESA certified.

Bit pricy, lock is a bit difficult to release the connector, but overall works good.
I brought a couple of these back in 18th December 2019 and I have the following to say about them, nothing bad.Well the price is a bit high considering there is no royalties to pay for the connector like there is for HDMI, so the prices for Display Ports should be cheaper. The button is a bit difficult to press to release the connection, so to anyone else that's trying to remove the connector, press the button in, push the connector in and you will hear a slight click, and with the button still pressed, gently and slowly pull back the connector. But apart from that I am pleased with this product, now would I buy more of these cables, sure, I plan to get another 2 when I get my 3rd and 4th display.

Best DP Cable I've used!
Have these for both of my High Refresh-Rate displays and they are VESA Certified (As per the official VESA Website for certified DP Cables). The 12th pin isn't active like some off-brand cables and it has a sturdy and tight feel to the cable

Garantiert ohne Probleme
Vor 3 Jahren für meinen neuen Monitor erworben und nicht einmal Probleme mit der Verbindung gehabt. Wahrscheinlich eines der günstigsten Kabel dass die VESA-Spezifikationen garantiert einhält.
