My husband likes Dr. Who so this year I got him the tent, Doctor, the tardis, and the screwdriver.

I used to collect the Sonic Screwdrivers as they released back when Matt smiths era was running, but stopped with the 12th doctor. I recently got back into doctor who and could never find the 12th doctors sonic for sale, so when I found this listing I was so excited. I bought it on sale, and for the price I paid ($28 after tax) I’m happy, but if I bought it at full price I’d be disappointed. The packaging came smashed so if you plan to display in box, be warned. The sonic feels light weight and cheap compared to my other sonic screwdrivers, and the switch gets stuck or doesn’t work sometimes. The 4 different sound effects and 2 different colors are a nice touch. Overall I’m happy with it, but definitely doesn’t live up to other official sonic screwdrivers released.

So i wasnt aware at first that this was a replica of the other toys when i bought it but honestly i thought it looked nice...Until i held it, they replaced the activation buttons with a touch sensor which looks pretty cool until you grab it and it activates over and over the bottom button doesnt do anything which wouldnt be an issue if the hatch covering it wasnt always half open.So do i recommend this toy? Sure for a child yeah definitely. But for literally anyone who just wants to hold it and not just display it then No because you can't without taking out the batteriesP.S: Why include the original toy's instructions if this is a replica???

The instructions were for a different version of the one I got. So either mine is faulty or it was a different product repackaged

I was looking forward to receiving these items - 3 sonic screwdrivers (10th, 11th and 12th) - they weren't cheap, but they were worth it! Until they arrived.... I don't understand how someone can throw several fragile items into a paper envelope and ship it across the world, expecting that they will arrive unscathed at the other end. I paid for postage, and would have paid more if given an option, if only to receive the products neatly packed and protected in a box. What I got was 3 broken and deformed items - perfect! The person who packed this obviously didn't care what happened to the products. What a terrible waste.

I always wanted to get my Husband one of these and was so stoked to see it on Amazon in time for Christmas. It arrived in perfect condition, work great, and he loves it!

It’s a decent merch replica. Lightweight, lights up exactly as described, and has four modes. There are weird scratches and bumps in the plastic, but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a cheap hard plastic toy. The noises are a bit annoying, but it’s not like you’re meant to have it on for a long period of time.

I got the sonic screw driver, only for it to stop working after 5 minutes 😒. The cap the covers the red button doesn't do anything. What is the red button do? I do love the sonic screw driver, just wished it would work more then 5 minutes. Otherwise great product.

I could never get the original release in 2017, so as soon as I discovered this re release I was straight on it.The colours are close enough, the sounds are fantastic, the light effects are spot on (and more accurate to their on screen portrayal) and there's no major build quality issues besides a minor rattle/wobble, but it is a toy. If you love Capaldi as much as I do just get it 😅 it's cheaper than trying to get the original release and faaaar cheaper than the replicas. And if you really care about the fine details a repaint would make it nearly spot on to the screen used prop as the mold for this toy was scanned 1 to 1 from the original sonic. It's a gorgeous piece of kit and I'm so glad I own one now
