OXOGood Grips Flour Sifter

This flour sifter and I didn't get on at all. I don't know why, it's made well and sifts flour or icing sugar. I think it just all felt a bit of a faff.I now use a little flour sifter, if I need to sift flour or a sieve. I've given this sifter away to someone who loves it as I don't like to take up valuable cupboard space. It was well made and did what it was supposed to.

The winning point of this sifter is the lids. Pop the sifter on the digital scale with base lid on, reset to zero - add flour / icing sugar and weigh. Take off the scale, put upper lid on. Over mixing bowl, release base lid - and shake away.Negative point - slow...and a little tedious, but it gets the job done.It is easy to wash and dry.

This is so well designed,and easy to use,no flour all over the kitchen,great.

It is too small for a flour sifter, however, it is excellent as an icing sugar sifter. With flour it is much better than the trigger action sifters, but still not consistent or fast for any serious baking.

It's uncomfortable to use, it hurts my wrists with the sideways motion that's required.

So great - dishwasher safe - love the lid and base and that you can measure the flour into it.

Bought this by mistake as I wanted a flour shaker as opposed to sifter but I kept it anyway and it makes sifting flour for bread very essy

Great little sifter and great concept of lidded ends so can store as well as sift, and no awkward mechanisms just shake it!
