While I admire any book that presents uplifting true tales of animal heroism, the key word is TRUE. Not bending the truth. Or embellishing the truth. Scarlett the cat was adopted by me in 1996. I know her story. It was dramatic. While the author kept the essence of Scarlett's story, he chose to rewrite some of the facts. Why? This is meant to be a non-fiction account not an exercise in creative writing.
