48V 105Ah Lithium Battery for Golf Cart, LiFePO4 Batteries with 200A BMS, 4000+ Rechargeable Deep Cycle, Grade A Lithium Iron Phosphate Cells, with A Smart Battery Monitor & 20A Charger

I purchased this kit to replace the lead batteries in my 2008 ego txt golf cart. I am very pleased with the battery and inboard charger. I did modify the battery holder and installed a 26 to 12 volt converter. I watched a number of videos on converting from lead acid to lithium and for the most part the installation went well. Unfortunately none of the videos I watched on converting an exgo to lithium mentioned that there is a connection to the battery charger port (red/white) that provides information to the controller. When I removed the old charger port the system didn’t recognize the new battery and wouldn’t run. I took the cart to a local golf cart dealer and they identified the problem and said they had to change some wires and relearn the system to recognize the new configuration. I think if I had not replaced the old charging port this would not have been necessary.

Where do I start? I bought a battery from this company but first it was just a sticker they put over the real companies name. When I receive the battery I was told there would be a warranty. The moment I plugged the battery in the battery short circuited and started smoking immediately! This lead it to fry my controller and solenoid. Customer service was not helpful when I contacted them. BEWARE AND GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY! SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE!
