Helps a little to hide a balding and thin scalp
While I don't have many grays or dyed hair, I have a very thin and balding scalp. Applying this stuff to mu scalp and roots helps conceal my balding a tad bit. It's not perfect by any means, but it helps out a bit, is easy and fast to apply, and dirt cheap.

Conceals Roots, Fuller Hairline
Use this on my husband and it works amazingly. The formula is easily worked into the hair and not drying. The coverage is high yet doesn't appear unnatural. Foolproof in real life and in photos. Convenient to carry with you and touch up in a mirror due to it's small and portable size. Washes out easily with shampoo. Love this so much and would highly recommend it!

What's up with the giant sponge??
I am not really a fan of this root coverup product. Why does it come with such a large sponge for application?? To cover up gray around the hair edges, this is not sufficient. First of all, gripping the giant sponge that is attached to a small, round lid is not easy, nor is it comfortable. I need something with more grip! And the color.... i got this in black. This is more accurately black-adjacent. It does not cover my black hair very well. Maybe there should be a jet-black color because plain old black does not cut it! Also, I dont find this to be very pigmented. I really pile it on when I have used it as that is the only way to properly cover what I need to cover. I also do not use the applicator, aka, huge sponge. I get more application control when I use another applicator that I purchased for use with this product.In short, I am not a real fan of this root coverup product. There are many others that are much better.

Helps with covering roots
This powder helps to cover discolored roots. It takes a bit of skill and patience to apply little by little for best result. I use my own small makeup brush to help with details.
