An excellent addition to car emergency kits
The media could not be loaded. This jump starter is actually a whole bag of things in one. They are also complementary and well thought out. Firstly the jump starter comes in a small case, which contains the jump starter, the car cables, a fast charger plug and three leads connected to s single socket covering, Micro USB, USB C and Lightning cable.The fast charger and USB-C cable can be used to charge the jump starter and does so quickly. You can also use the charger just as that and also use it to charge any device as a fast charger connected via any of the three cables.You can also use the jump starter as a battery pack and it powers out via USB-C and two USB ports. It also supports fast charging from the battery pack. The unit comes with a minature compass, it has a window breaker on one side, it has a set of 4 alternating lights which include solid white light, flashing white light and flashing red and blue lights. It has a 16,000Mah capacity so could easily charge a modern phone fully a few times.Then of course there is the main event. This can be used to jump start a car. Setting this up is easy, just plugging in the connecting adapter for the jump leads and attaching them as normal. If there is enough charge in the unit it will display green and red if there is not enough charge (I don’t know what battery level indicates that). The unit does show the percentage battery left so once known it can be planned. I wasn’t in a position to need to test this so cannot speak to how well it works in this regard.The unit is robust. It is about twice the thickness of a standard power unit and maybe 1/3 longer. It is however an incredibly useful collection of tools that deserves a place with any emergency kit in the car.
