Lightweight and easy to fit
First things first, this isn't a cutthroat razor in of itself. It's a handle for a single edged safety blade that does the same thing. If you have double edged safety razors then it's easy enough to snap one in half (inside the wax paper) and fit it to this. The actual use of this is another matter altogether. It'll take practice and patience so don't rush in if you've never used one before. There's a technique to holding the handle, how you angle the blade on your skin and generally how you "shave". It'll take a few goes (and several cuts) but once you get the hang of it it'll probably be the closest shave you've ever had. This product is a decent starting point if you're interested in using a straight razor. Just don't expect to be using it like a pro right away, take your time!

Small and lightweight
The razor looks good, and has futuristic look to it. Matt black and lightweight, I think I would have preferred slightly heavier feel to it, but using replaceable razor blades it is quite short blade compared to the old fashioned cut-throat razors. It comes without blades, which are readily available, and did a good job at close shaving, with even strokes, concentration is required to prevent going to a meeting without red stained tissues stuck to your face, but practice makes perfect. I tend to leave everything to the last minute and rush, this is probably not best suited to a rush job, more for pampering for special occasions. It leaves you feeling fresh and smooth, with a glow to the skin.At 9.99 it is a bargain.

Good quality
The YNR England Cut Throat Razor is good quality and lightweight but does seem sturdy. The cut throat Razor doesn't come with blades. It is easy to fit the blade to the Razor as long as you follow the instructions. It is easy to use if you have used cut throat before, but if not it will take time to get used to it.Overall good quality stainless steelNice and easy to holdEasy to fit bladesGood priceRecommended

Not for me
I don't want to be overly hard on this as I think many of the reasons for me not getting on with this are me not it. I am used to DE shaving so have a few of those blades handy and after snapping one in half, I fitted it following the instructions. The instructions weren't great and are quite small but I managed without blood loss. Then came the shaving I just found I couldn't hold it right in a position that allowed me to go with the grain which is hown I shave. I am aware others go against the grain and they may have more success than me.Build quality feels okay and the blade did not feel loose or anything.

Good functional shavette
My first impression was that it's a good looking razor. The matt black finish is very nice. It also comes with a handy leather sleeve which is a nice touch. I snapped in half a Derby blade and it fits fine. The blade itself aligns perfectly with the edge of the shavette so blade exposure is uniform along its whole length. It seems to be manufactured nicely, nothing feels loose, and the razor itself is very easy to use and has a similar feel to my Parker. The only downside is that on the non-razor side, at the far end of the handle, is a piece of metal that doesn't sit flush and isn't fully painted. I show it in the photo and you can see the silver metal part peeking through. It's a shame as this is the only defect I can find on an otherwise very nice razor. The box has some instructions on the back but the text is so small I just couldn't read it. If I didn't already own a Parker shavette already I might have dug out a magnifying glass but it works the same way as every other shavette so no need to read the instructions.I've had a couple of nice shaves with this and they went pretty well. I'm not an expert on this style of razor, I normally use a DE safety razor, but I found this to be easy to use, the grip isn't slippery and I have no complaints when it comes to it's functionality.Overall I'm very happy I ordered it. Unfortunately it's let down by some QA issues but it's still good value for the price.

Not going back to a double edge razor.
Firstly, (As stated by the seller) you do not get blades with the razor. Secondly, this is a skill. It takes time to learn, but it isn't hard. The effort you put in, will result in such a close shave. There are many good YouTube video on how to use such a razor as this. Mainly use at 30 degree to the skin, and stretch the skin you are about to shave. The razor is light but feels good in the hand. This gave me confidence when using it. It is easy to insert a blade, and it sits in place well. My first time using was slow, compared to my double edge razor, as I had never used a cut-throat before. I soon picked up the skill, and got faster each time. Yes, I did cut myself the first time. The closeness of the shave is amazing, even with my thick hair. I soon began to feel at home holding the cut-throat, this helps hugely. No slipping in the hand. For the money, this is a bargain.
