Thank you for this book which is an amazing collection of traditional oriental poems from many eras of the japanese and chinese culture and traditional writing skills. I can only recommend this collection for people who have an open mind. Bye

Arrived in good order

This book, together with the Everyman edition of Haiku, is a book I take with me everywhere, these beautiful Everyman books are ideal to slip into a handbag etc. A selection of really lovely poems, beautifully translated. One very helpful feature is the short biographical section at the end; I was amazed at the early dates of some of these poems, some as early as ca. 385 AD. Many of the poems in this collection show a wonderful appreciation of the natural world and a deep wisdom. Highly recommended.
