Toccare Beautiful Sleeping Saint Joseph Statue | Made in Colombia, South America | Cast in Durable Resin from The Hand-Carved Original | Makes a Great Housewarming Gift! (8")

This is the most 'artistic' sleeping St Joseph statue I found for sale online. It doesn't look cartoonish or garish, but more like it is based on a hand-carved original. It is some kind of resin, I suppose (I can't remember the description) and is a good size for a shelf in front of your books, on a desk top or perhaps on a night-stand or family altar. I have been putting various intentions under the statue, written on small pieces of paper with the date on them. I ask for St Joseph's intercession for many people on a daily basis (I work with immigrants who often have problems with visas or finding work, as well as working with couples preparing for marriage and all the things that come with setting up life together, like finding a home and having babies - all things that St Joseph had first-hand knowledge of). When a prayer has been answered, I remove the paper from under the statue and paste it into a notebook, where I write how the prayer was answered and the date when I heard about the answer. In this way, I try to remember to thank St Joseph for his intercession and remind myself of God's blessings. I think anyone with a devotion to St Joseph or who wishes to foster a devotion to St Joseph in their family could do something similar.

Gorgeous. Detail and workmanship is incredible. I have seen others from other companies and they are not as nice as this one. Toccare is really the company you want to buy from. Not happy with seller changing prices like the wind. Big price ranges, so look for a good price.

Very beautifully made. The hands and feet are also nicely done. There was only a small piece of foam in the box. Glad it was not damaged.

St. Joseph is never called upon enough for his intercession with his Son, in my opinion. I know the very first note I placed under his statue was answered almost immediately. Seeing his beautiful statue sitting on a bookcase that I pass multiple times a day also reminds me of the power that intercessory prayer has. The statue was also more beautiful than pictures showed. If the Pope can use this sleeping St. Joseph then it's good enough for me!

I learned just recently about the Sleeping Joseph and bought this one for my daughter. She and her family love it. It is very nicely done with beautiful coloring and detail.
