Value. Adaptable. Good picture.
I love our Sceptre TV. My husband thinks the picture is great and I do too. Blackest blacks. Great contrast. True colors. Crisp. Easy to configure and use. And best of all, DUMB! This TV can roll with the ever changing streaming services without becoming prematurely obsolete. We use cable and Chromecast with ours, but you'll be able to use whatever sticks, dongles, and cables you desire for the services you most enjoy. We have an old DVD player connected to our Sceptre too.The Sceptre's only flaw is sound, but it's a minor one. For an LED with built in speakers, it isn't bad. Tinny, but it's easy to adjust to and loud enough to hear clearly. Fortunately, with all the included ports on the TV, there are myriad ways to solve the sound issue: a sound bar, computer speakers, or even by running the sound through your legacy stereo component system. We tried the latter with our ancient Bose Acoustimass speakers and the Sceptre gave us movie theater quality sound. It was surprising and impressive!Recommended without hesitation.

Great Value Monitor/TV!
Great use as a big screen monitor for a computer. Decent quality and features for the price. Great value. Picture is clear and the colors are bright. Sound is a bit tinny but not to the point of distraction. We bought two about 6 months apart and both pieces were identical with no issues.Note: the plastic smell needs to vent out for a few days before being put to use. Leave it in an open area out of its box prior to use. (This is a best practice for almost any heavy duty plastic but especially true in this case.)

Very good as a monitor and has VGA...Strong electronic smell for a couple of weeks
This is a question reply I sent that I am posting here. Yes it does have VGA and I am using it as I write this. Read complaints of strong electronic smell which was annoyingly true as I have two in a small office. The smell is mostly gone after a couple of weeks. I'm am now very pleased with them after a good 'burn in'. It is a good deal on a 1080 32 inch at $145 as a monitor. As a TV is is not smart and has wanky little speakers underneath. BTW I purchased it sold as model X328BV-FSR and received model X325BV-FSR. Scepter's website does not have a X328BV-FSR. The model shipped was better than the description so happy about that. Has VGA,3HDMI,3.5 audio in, DTV Coax in, Component in, Audio out (RCA/3.5/optical), does not shut down/sleep auto with computer. For a 1080 monitor thumbs up. I run my compy sound through it to my sound system. Gets a 4 star for the electronic smell plus the wrong model number. If the smell is too strong for you try it and return it but I couldn't find a comparable deal on a 1080 32 anywhere.Update 10/5/2018...a little over a month up and running...the electronic smell is almost completely gone...or I'm nose blind...actually a friend was here in my tiny office and smelled it when mentioned but hadn't noticed before. Image quality is still good and I'm still happy. Screen goes blue when my computer sleeps.

Great 1080p display
Like many that have reviewed this display, I'm using it as a computer monitor and not a TV. For what I'm using it for, it's hard to beat. It has plenty of real estate, enough room to run three programs simultaneously. For the price, it's the best option that can be had for those that need large monitors on a budget.*Update: I know many reviewers have complained of an electric or plastic odor, my display hasn't had any odor since day one. After three months of 8-12 hours of use daily, the display is still working perfectly.

It works but the smell is unbearable
Purchased July, 2018 and the TV still smells..a lot 15 months later. Every flat screen I've bought (Vizio, Samsung, TCL) smell when first plugged in but the electrical odor dissipates in time. This Sceptre smells so much that I stopped using it and placed it into a rarely used bedroom. The TV is NOT plugged in and whenever I enter that bedroom, the electrical odor is so bad, I leave the room quickly. I moved the TV to the garage and turned it on 24/7 thinking whatever chemical was sprayed on the electronics would burn off.It continued to smell after 7 days of operation. It smells whether turned on or off. I contacted Sceptre customer service and was advised it was out of warranty and I should dispose of it to avoid starting a fire. Since the odor is prevalent even when not plugged in or turned on, I believe that is not a reasonable response. Based on that response, they must believe that spontaneous combustion is possible with an unused, not plugged in Sceptre Television. I contacted them to see if they have had similar problems and there was a solution I could employ. I knew it was out of warranty. Just looking for some information.I strongly suggest that folks looking for a TV find a manufacturer that will help their customers resolve issues inherent to their products. I don't believe Sceptre is one of them.

Great Picture!
We put one of these in our vacation rental and I cannot say how happy I am with it. We bought the 32 inch and are thinking of moving the 32 inch to the guest bedroom and getting a 43 inch or 55 inch for the master bedroom. The picture on these TVs is great and it was really affordable. The sound is not bad either, if I were living here full time, I might invest in a sound bar, but it isn't so bad that I would need to get it ASAP. The picture is actually better than our Samsung 1080P in the family room. Really affordable tv with a great feature set.
