Would totally buy again, the amount of waste is minimal, really pretty design, and the tape works well

I've been absolutely impressed with this new plastic-free tape and dispenser combo that perfectly embodies the "reuse, reduce, recycle" mantra. I love the fact that this tape is giving us a choice to say no to plastic in a common household product. I bought their regular tape (worked well) and decided to give the masking tape a try. Photo shown was a toy van I masked up to paint. There were lots of intricate shapes and the tape was resilient enough to handle the manipulation and fine cutting. No paint bleeding through either. Great product!

It really amazing there is no plastic at all, especially the tape. And the tape is a bit special. It’s strong and it seems it can be peeled off without damaging the paper surface underneath. Dispenser is easy to refill.

Especially when almost NO ONE gives the information needed to find compatible rolls of tape! In the picture I've provided, I have show about what the measurements are of some things to help explain what I mean. First off, the hole that the tape roll goes in is about 2 inches in diameter. And then, the tape that Blue Lake provides is about 1¾ inches in diameter (Blue Lake says they are 1.9 inches in diameter in the listing). Regardless, their tape rolls obviously fit the tape dispenser just fine. I wouldn't put any stock in their measurements though, because there's no telling how long each of their rolls really are. In one place they say they're 630 inches. In another place they say they're 640 inches long. And in ANOTHER place they say they're 550 inches long...Now, the tape roll in the bottom left hand side of my picture is a Scotch brand roll that I got some time ago that has 1,000 inches of tape. But since it has a diameter of about 2¼ inches, it does NOT fit in this tape dispenser. So I went to look for what the typical size is of rolls of tape refills and it was very frustrating because pretty much everyone's tape dispenser refills that I check out, only give it's width (which is always ¾ of an inch), and the length of the roll if it was completely unrolled. I couldn't even say what the most common size is, as I've seen tape dispenser refills that are 1,000 inches, 900 inches, 800 inches, and even several other lengths. Anyway, the main thing I would need to know when looking for refills for this tape dispenser would be the diameter of the tape refills before they are used, and even the big brand doesn't even tell you!And so, it's a good thing that this tape dispenser comes with four little rolls of tape. The tape feels a little different coming off of the roll, but I believe that's because it's made without any plastic somehow. But so far it still works pretty well. And while the usual tape dispenser refills that I get, which are 1,000 inches in length, are too big for this tape dispenser, I could still always use them with it when they get low enough to fit. My favorite thing about it though, is that there's almost no play in the rolls of tape that are used in it. Meaning, they don't have like a quarter of an inch of play to slide back and forth all the time while you're pulling tape off of the spool, often causing the tape to be crooked where it's cut.

The product itself works well just and added bonus for its eco friendly capabilities; however, the product design was not be best the tape cutter bit came apart when simply attempting to cut a piece of tape.

I have been waiting for tape dispenser that is made from 100% plant fiber materials, and can't believe it is finally here! Amazing quality and just in time for all the holiday gift wrapping waiting for me. Thank you for finally designing and making this product!
