Leick Home 11232 Ironcraft Rustic Hall Stand Console, Mission Oak and Black

I've purchased several pieces of Leick furniture in the past and was always extremely satisfied. And in terms of material and construction this bookcase is just as good a quality item. But for some reason it had a horrible chemical stench to it that overwhelmed my entire apartment and forced me to put it on the patio to air out for a few days. The smell was so bad it made my eyes water, cough uncontrollably, and gave me a busting headache. Perhaps the wood stain wasn't allowed to dry completely before packaging it for shipment? At any rate, it's on the back patio and will stay there until it stops stinking.

I looked through all 400 pages, 30 end tables to a page (do the math), with specifics in mind: no glass, medium to dark wood, distressed wood a plus, hardware had to be ORB or black. This table met all my specifications, had great ratings and was the least expensive. So easy to assemble (I'm going on 80 with bad knees, back and shoulders)! I've made many purchases from Amazon.com, but none have made me happier than these tables - I bought two!

I’ve had good luck with Leick furniture. I also have the narrow chair side table. The 50 inch high bookcase was easy to put together. All the pieces arrived well-packed and undamaged. The top section and drawer are pre-assembled and the metal sides are easy to install. The backer board is better than most that you get with such furniture. It has a nice wood veneer on the front, and it screws into wood at the top and bottom, unlike similar boards that are tacked in—those never work. I needed it for cookbooks and the shelves are easily adjustable to three heights. As others say, the top drawer is not deep, but it’s fine for the little things we use it for (dog leashes, collars, and such). We did use the support strap to attach it to the wall, as it seems a little top heavy.

My console table arrived today and I am thrilled with it. It's well designed, well thought out, and surprisingly simple to assemble. The table it's replacing is only 5 years old (cam lock assembly) and it was literally falling part. Junk. This table is SOLID. The entire top section came fully assembled so all I had to do was attach the legs and the shelf (easy, normal screws !!! ) Definitely 5 Stars. I would buy it again and highly recommend it. Really well-made, solid wood, easy to assemble, very sturdy and strong. Very happy with this table, the top's finish was a bit darker than the images which was fine with me. It is a combination of not appearing too bulky with the open slatted sides and a substantial piece at the same time. I have a small living room and this sits in front of a loveseat, it is just the perfect size. This is my second piece in this series (Ironcraft) and I am expecting an end table soon. Very, very pleased with the quality and look of this Leick furniture.

We love these night stands. Sturdy, made of actual wood (they even smell nice.)The box they arrive in is big and very heavy 46 pounds. The assembly is not difficult as the sides/legs are each a piece, the top/drawer is one piece, and the shelf is the fourth. The only difficult part is getting wood screws in the shelf - it requires some patience and some torque as it is real wood. I recommend very shallow drilled guide holes if you have a drill and small drill bit, just be careful not to go very deep - maybe a 1/4 inch at most.

I am very impressed with the value of these shelves. I bought the short bookcase with 3 shelves and the console with 2. They are very well made, easy to put together. The look more expensive that what you pay for them. They match the expensive tables that I purchased not too long ago. They are wood, no particle board. The iron legs set them off very well. I don't have a lot of room in the spaces I'm using them in and they fit very well. I'm using the console behind my sofa which is against a wall and I have very little space to work with due to recliners on both ends of my sofa. The 12" depth works well. I use it to hide my Directv wireless equipment. If there wasn't a green light on the unit I don't think you could even see it because it blends so well with the iron legs. I was thinking of having a longer unit specially made for behind the sofa but I'm so happy with this that I may not do that. When I got new furniture I eliminated a space for books and misc items. That's what I'm using the bookcase for. I feel like my space is complete now. I'll try to post a picture at a later date.

This is a great looking nightstand. It absolutely looks as good if not better than those that cost 3 to 4 times as much.I bought two for each side of the bed. They look great and I love the industrial design.Assembly is a little bit wonky. Clearly it was not designed by IKEA but once put together, the quality can't be argued.Great looking, well-made, a perfect choice

We were looking for a classy looking set of end tables that were not too wide. These fit the bill. Great looking, sturdy, and would definitely buy again.
