I was nervous when ordering this because you never know what you're going to get. However, I knew I could return it if I needed to. My entire family is satisfied with this mat. The rubber is a rubber and not plastic. The mat is thick, durable, and does not slip on our garage floor. My 5'10'' daughter has used it already and likes it. It's very similar to the mats we use during lessons.

Only complaint is that they should roll it up backwards. Takes a few days to get it to lay down. We have it in our shop and it doesn’t move while the kids pitch off of it.

This mat is made for abuse. It's thick and heavy. The rubber plate is glued in place very well.At 33 pounds it's a beast. It comes rolled up tightly in a sacrificial box (to protect the other packages from being beaten up too bad by this monster). It seems to be pretty weather/climate dependent on if it will lay down quickly or not. I've seen others who thought that it took too long. Here, in the California heat it laid down within the hour.The thick rubber is the kind that slaps or thuds when you drop it. The turf is died all the way to the root, not painted on the top couple millimeters.The rubber works very well for indexing stride and provides a slight spring effect vs the plastic ones that have more of a shock to them.

This is a great product. While it is marketed as a softball pitching strip, and rightfully so, it can be used for a multitude of purposes. If you are looking for a thick 10' x 3' mat, this is a good option. I use it as a protective mat in my workshop and it works great. The edges and corners do not curl up, making this a great value.

Like that it’s lightweight. Dislike the strong odor.

This pitcher mat works extremely well with my daughters pitching lessons. We have been able to set it up in our backyard with her pitching net so she has a really awesome guide on where her feet placement are when she is practicing in between pitching lessons. The mat is sturdy and of great quality and stays in place with no issues while in use.

My nephew and I are teaching his son how to pitch fastball because he’s really excited about playing softball in a local league.This mat is excellent for him to learn in our backyard so I just can’t say enough great things about it.It’s extremely tough and durable, is very comfortable to stand and pitch on, it has the rubber pitching plate securely built into it, it stays down and flat wherever you place it once it’s been in the sun for a short while, the guiding line really assists in placing/targeting the pitch properly, and, on top of all that, it looks great too. I definitely highly recommend it.

Good quality mat. Easy to roll up and transport, though it is heavy – which I believe is also good because it doesn’t move much when the kids are pitching. The turf and rubbers are thick and also good quality. They also feel durable – have been using it outdoors, also under rain, for few weeks and is still in really good condition.
