I ordered this book because the only advice I got from my doctor for dealing with my inflammation issues was to take more anti-inflammatory drugs and go easy on my body. I felt like I needed more information which I got from this book and then some. In reading this I appreciated the way the author took some complex subjects and made them easy to understand.The most intriguing thing I learned from this book was the number of medical problems where inflammation was the culprit, no matter how old we are. The most helpful was the practical things that I can do to heal my body, which I have started to do. While it has only been a couple of weeks, I am beginning to feel the difference and starting to feel healthier overall. Although, I shouldn't be surprised after what I learned.

Very readable, informative book. I have issues with chronic inflammation (joints) and my physician has really just been no help (take Motrin is her advice rather than investigating). I have bought 3 other books from Amazon, including Dr. Andrew Weill, but the technical jargon and sheer length of those books were too much for me. Dr. Sears manages to make this topic "reader friendly" and offers some solid suggestions - which I'm following and hope will help. It's only been about a month and I am hoping that I see some different by the end of the year.

There is useful information in the book, but I thought it was way too cute. I really think I am intellectually beyond "sticky stuff" and Dr. Bill and Dr. O. Mega III cartoons. They were a distraction and made me not want to take the book seriously. The useful information was kind of lost in the kitsch. They might be motivational to others. They weren't for me.

This book was enlightening and entertaining from cover to cover. I loved the simple approach that Dr. Sears takes in describing this complex topic. It opened my eyes to how inflammation impacts so many of the top diseases trending today. This book provided practical tools that I can implement in my family to protect my children, improve my own health, and increase my lifespan. This book is on my stocking stuffer gift list for Christmas this year!

This is very informative and I was happy to be plugged in to this philosophy.
