Well I have had this mat for about 6 months. Of course it came quickly and was neatly rolled up. I didn't notice any bad smells or anything. Well I keep it on my kitchen counter where I do most of my cooking and cutting getting drink's. I am messy so this is a life saver. I always spilling my drink when I get it so this is where I can't see the stain it absorbs very quickly and no spot or anything where you can not tell something was dripped on it. It is pretty cool that the liquid dries up in seconds flat. I use it when I am getting my cat's food and where I can clean it up. It is easy to clean and I don't have to do it very much. But it is easy just wipe it down and put back where it was. Very good mat.

This is a nice, thin yet sturdy mat. I can easily clean under my coffee maker and there is room to set a hot cup of coffee on the mat instead of my bare countertop. Excellent choice.

We have a carafe coffee maker, and sometimes it drips on the counter. This pad is terrific and the coffee is absorbed. It is also very easy to clean and looks good on the counter.

I use this mat under my coffee pot, because of coffee splatter. The coffee is absorbed and you can't see it on the counter! Works exactly how it is advertised! Great deal.
