Nice piece at a nice price
The media could not be loaded. It's hard to argue with the price. The only thing that that's missing is gauge markings on the jaws, and, arguably, some kind of directions (though as I point out in the video, if you're working with Weather Pack or similar terminals that require two crimps at once, you're probably familiar with the breed or have other means of instruction). My video shows it in action with a bare connector so you can see what it does unobscured by a seal.

Secure connections for a great price
These crimpers punch above their weight class! The machining of the jaws is well done and the ratcheting mechanism makes for easy secure crimps. The handle is comfortable and the tool is overall very well made. Connections stay tight with no slack or wiggle to the wires once crimped. The ratcheting release is easy to use and conveniently located and the auto release once you have completed the crimp works well. Great value for the price.

so far great
i have a racecar with quite a bit of custom wiring and these have been great so far in adding in extra pins for the ecu and electrical connectors. multiple sizes for the right crimp, gives a solid connection with no loose wires. If you have ever done automotive wiring you know how much of a pain it is and without the right tools typically leads to gremlins that are hard to trace. i learned along time ago, "buy once cry once", and these have been making wiring that much easier. I'd absolutely recomend these

An affordable ratcheting crimper for Weatherpack connectors
When I first started using Weatherpack connectors, there were only two choices of crimpers that delivered consistently acceptable crimps — both sold by Delphi Packard. Their ratcheting crimper was over $300 and beyond what I could justify for noncommercial use. There non ratcheting crimper was stil expensive, but less than a third the cost. With practice and a lot of attention during use, it can produce excellent crimps, but it requires two crimps for each terminal. You twice have to determine the correct place in the jaws, crimp it one way, then turn it over and then make the second crimp from the other side. Unlike the $300 model, it does not have an integral depth block to prevent crimping in the wrong place, so it takes care, judgement and sustained attention, but are rewarded with excellent crimps. It continues to do this over many years of use, and hundreds of crimps (yah, I do a lot of custom electrical modifications and additions to my vehicles).I have a good quality ratcheting crimper that has multiple sets of interchangeable jaws. I was eager to put the set for Delphi connectors to use. Though the ratcheting mechanism, and most jaw sets give excellent results, the Delphi set didn’t. I regularly had to go back and try to repair the crimps with my Delphi Packard tool. Often they couldn’t be repaired and I’d have to start over using my less mechanized original tool.So along comes this HKS tool that is specific to the larger sizes of connections. The jaws appear precise; the will do both crimps ( wire and seal) at once. It has a release lever, that lets me back off from and reposition the crimp if things shift. It still doesn’t have the ease of placement of the $300 Delphi Packard crimper, but it costs less than one tenth as much! If work with these connectors, and don’t have the top gun model, this is the crimper to obtain. It is not the cheapest, but it is cheaper than both of the Delphi models, and works better than the alternatives I’ve tried. As another reviewer has said, it’s a “no brainer.”On an absolute basis, it’s a 4 star referenced to the $300 model. On a value basis it’s a 10. So I feel it fully warrants a 5 Star rating.

Well made sturdy crimping tool, wish it had interchangeable die option
This crimping tool is well made feels very sturdy. The crimping head machined and seem to do a good job for Weatherpack terminals. Crimps come out very strong with no weakness. I want to point out that the wire size is not printed on the head and they are not in order also. Of course, you can see the difference and would know but its a good practice to have the size embossed or printed. I wish it had the option to buy it with two size interchangeable head.

Over lubricated, razor sharp edges - but it works well and is priced right
I had to fully disassemble, clean, and reassemble with a light wipedown of LPS3 - I can't handle tools that are just dripping with whatever rank mineral oil they're slathering on everything these days. The jaws are well done - I'm guessing EDM or maybe laser - definitely not stamped or conventional machined (and don't appear to be made via PM process either). They're quite nice, and the jaws alone are worth the price of admission. They're not deburred though - you can shave microns off your thumbnail with that edge. It's understandable, duburring an edge like that without affecting the critical dimensions would involve a lot of process engineering - significantly driving up the price point.Overall - I'm thrilled. Ever price out an OEM tool for these crimps? A tool of this quality at a minor fraction of OEM pricing is a godsend.Just be careful with the jaws near your fleshy bits.

Decent crimping tool!
I can't say if this is the absolute equal of more expensive crimping tools, but for my purposes, it works perfectly.Good ratcheting mechanism, and performs very solid crimps.
