Spigen Thin Fit Designed for Samsung Galaxy S9 Case (2018) - Black

If you're relatively kind to your gear, have tiny hands, or just plain detest lugging around a lunchbox of a phone case this might be for you. BUT --- there are some caveats, so please read on...It is skeletally minimalist and gets as close to mimicking the actual phone as you can get. Corners are covered, as are most of the sides --- but all buttons are fully exposed, and there is little shock padding. I searched for the bare minimum S9 case, and --- presto!So --- what are the downsides?I don't seem to get along with the bulletproof tempered glass screen shields. Samsung has opted for only two screen sensitivity settings: Inert; and Hyper. While I realize that these shields provide better protection than the wet-application film type (IQ Shield, as an example), the micro gap between tempered shield and screen (three different shield brands, screen tested for "dead-flatness") drives me nuts. Remember when you could adjust screen sensitivity? Hold that memory. So, here's the trade-off: The wraparound film shield by far has the best touch, but this case will leave a gap at the edges. For a film shield that spells doom. Dust, finger swipes, etc. will end your affair with this case and film. My Caseology case pretty much seals the film edges, so that's where I'm at.BUT ... if you don't mind tapping on tempered, that combo with this might make a near-perfect combo, depending on the brand of shield you use. And I may well go back to that, and this, and that...Or, you could get all nostalgic and wonder WHY we have curved edges (instead of flat, slightly-recessed screens), and could use film protectors with ... wow ... no case at all. S5, 4 years, RIP.

This case is not durable. After 6 months, the case started falling apart. The top left corner piece broke away. The piece around the headphone jack is cracked and about to fall off too.

I love this case! It is slim, non-slip, yet doesn't get stuck in your pocket or purse. All of the cutouts are perfectly aligned and there is no interference with charging or earbuds, etc. It has a slight lip at the bottom and the top that keeps the glass front of the phone from touching hard surfaces when it is face down.My favorite features of the case: 1-the fully cutout areas for the buttons allow for easy access to the buttons. I like this feature because built-in buttons can often be uncomfortable or not configured properly (too hard or overly responsive). 2-the little depression for magnetic car mount is perfectly formed so that I don't have to permanently stick the metal piece in, I can just lay it in there and remove it when I want to use wireless charging. 3-the cutouts in the back for the camera and sensors provides excellent access to these items and I never have to move my finger all over trying to find the fingerprint sensor.It is a slim fit and may not protect from extreme drops, but it fits great, doesn't add extra bulk, and keeps my phone from feeling like a slippery eel in my hands.Overall, excellent value and protective case that does exactly what it claims. Plus, I'm a Spigen fan - I've loved every case I've ever had from this company, so I keep coming back.

2nd update: I once again am re-ordering this case for good reason it SAVED my phone. I dropped on ceramic tile again from waist high. The case took the hit great except the loss of a chip in the corner now but no damage to my phone. Only wish the finish color would last longer.1st update: I have now had this for awhile. I have since dropped my phone a few more times and no damage to my phone! I have worn it out and chipped a couple corners due to the falls so I am ordering a new one. This is a GREAT case even as slim as it is it protects very well. I was not compensated for my review. Just an honest and true review.love the case color matches almost exact to the phone color. it is not a thick cover, which I like, so keep that in mind. it has a place to put a magnet for the magnetic vent holders as well so it does not ruin the case.I have dropped once so far on cement floor, from apx 3ft, and the corner protected it well. NO cover, except ones that surround even the screen, will protect the face if the object is higher in the middle of the phone and the edges.

I have tried several "thin" cases. Spigen makes the best ones by far. Nice feel, PERFECT fit for my S9

I've bought this case at least 3 times for my current phone and similar ones for phones before. It is niec and light and thin which I like. The bottom corner is vulnerable to bending out and breaking off which is why I've had to replace it but at the low price replacing this every several months is no big deal to me. It is compatible with magnetic devices on the inside and I stick one from LifeProof on the back to use on my belt and bike.

Tried this case after returning the Spigen Rugged Armor for Galaxy S9 as a solution to the problem of edge-lifting the screen protector (LK 2 Pack Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S9, [Flexible Film] HD Clarity, Anti Scratch, Case Friendly - I wonder about the "case friendly"). While it seemed to solve that problem by reducing the amount of case material at the case edges on the long sides, it offers face-drop protection only on the short edges of the phone body and leaves the curved phone edges greatly exposed - another "mixed" benefit as Samsung designed this phone with features in those areas. Still searching for the best combination of Galaxy S9 screen protector and phone case which offers :1) Great protection on ALL sides2) No impact to S9 "edge features"3) Doesn't interfere with or bubble edges of a screen protector (Spigen Rugged Armor - not a good match).Hard/glass screen protectors are not an option as they impact phone touch screen sensitivity. Suggestions from the Amazon body of reviewers are most welcome.JR

Atendeu às expectativas. Bonita, elegante, fina, firme e se adapta perfeitamente ao aparelho.Só não sei dizer em relação à durabilidade pois tem poucas semanas de uso.Mas até agora ótima!

I've dropped my phone 5 times with this case, not proud, but I have. So far, so good. If I just jinxed myself, I'll be sure to update my review.

So when I was looking for a new cover for my Galazy S9, the things that were high on my list were: Slim Fit (so that the phone didnt feel bulkier, almost the bare minimum so it feels like there is no cover). Extra Light Weight (so that the phone doesn't feel any heavier once the cover is fitted).Protection (so that if the phone is dropped it protects the main areas, the front back and corners.Well after buying several different S9 covers from different manufacturers, this cover was the closest you can get to all of the above.The downside as others have said is the durability, the cover fades really badly after a few months (it fades to the original moulded white colour) and the plastic itself becomes very brittle and pieces start to crack and randomly fall off.It just doesn't stand up to the day to day usage which it was intended for.For this reason I would not purchase this item again, even if the price was reduced.

Awesome case - strong, comfy and lovely cover - not bulky at all

Decent case. Extremely slim, light and easy to fit to the phone. The cutouts are accurate and allow easy access to all buttons, connectors and the fingerprint-reader. My only (small) complaint would be the feel of the plastic, but at the price it's hard to complain at all.
