ScotchBlue2093-36EC Painters Tape, 1.41 inches x 60 yards, 2093, 1 Roll, Blue

I've gone through four rolls of this tape so far and have had overall excellent results with minimal bleed through. I've noticed that the bleed through tends to happen in areas where I didn't press down as well on the edge of the tape, or if I missed a section and taped it right before painting. Again though, the bleed through is quite minimal. I think the tape needs to be on the surface for a little while to create a decent seal. I usually tape a day or two before I paint. I'm also using Sherwin Williams paint, which could be contributing to the minimal bleed through. Not sure. The tape sticks just fine to my walls, ceiling, and trim. I appreciate the width, which keeps paint off my ceiling if I get too close with the roller.

We use painters tape to draw lines for painting where ceiling meets wall and where wall meets woodwork. As long as one does not apply too much paint.Also we use the tape on drop cloth or paper seams. Finally, we use it for packaging where release of tape is needed.

Recently went through a painting project that required a lot of taping, and tried the green brand, the traditional blue from this brand, and this 'sharp lines' version. Depending on your use case the sharp lines works better than the traditional blue painter's tape and truly does deliver sharper lines than the normal stuff. The trouble with this is that it doesn't seem to want to adhere to much of anything very well. If you press it down again immediately before you paint you'll get pretty good results, but if you forget to do that you're likely to get bleed through. Wood, painted walls, porcelain, other tape, and even itself the adhesion was weak and it usually pulled loose when left unattended. The only thing it seemed to stick to well was a mirror.

I used this tape for my 3D printer which has a bed temp of 80°C, normal masking tape doesn't work but I can use this tape for multiple prints and the prints usually stick so well to the tape I gotta tear the tape off

I do quite a bit of painting, my family owns rental properties and i do enjoy my projects so i gotta say this tape works great. Normally i use the generic blue painters tape at home depo which works okay but for this project i needed better than "okay". I was repainting the quarter panel of my car and needed something that cut really clean lines so i decided to give this brand a try. The tape sat nice and flat, didnt lift by itself, no paint bleed through, pulled off cleanly without ripping afterwards. This painters tape did exactly what i needed it to do.

Great painters tape, this is the only one I will use (wither sharp or ultra sharp lines). Tape has dozens of uses, in my home we use it to tape off art paper to sketch boards for drawing or watercolor, to temporarily adhere templates in the shop (look up the blue tape superglue trick), to cover portions of a project I don't want damaged in the shop, as a base on my workbench to mix epoxy, and of course to tape off trim when painting a room. I have tried many types of painters tape over the years and this has the best balance as far as adhesion, removability, and prevention of bleed through.

Painting itself isn't so bad but man does taping suck. Especially if you have as many doors and windows and as much trim as we do in our house. As we are now homeowners, we have become black belts in taping. This tape works really well- you can even tape and come back a few days later to paint and the tape will hold which seems to be our standard operating procedure since after taping we usually congratulate ourselves with margaritas and then our focus goes away.

The best sharp line

Keine Sorge : auch dann hält der Abdeckstreifen immer noch, was er verspricht ! Kann allerdings nur schwer abgerissen werden, da in der Trägerfolie Fasern eingearbeitet sind - besser nimmt man ein Messer oder Schere. Auch zuschneiden kann man sich das Band, Formen erstellen usw. , nur sollte man ein scharfes Messer verwenden und darauf achten, daß sich der Zuschnitt sauber von der Unterlage löst.
