The Bintrasher clips on to the hinges of your wheelie bin and through a simple push down process compacts your rubbish. It is estimated that you will get about 40% more rubbish into a standard wheelie bin by using a Bintrasher. Are you one of those people that stands into the bin to try to get the same result? The bintrasher is certainly a safer option! With the Bintrasher you should always be able to close the lid of your bin properly meaning no bad odours. What is more it should help to prevent vermin and indeed birds or the neighbours cats and dogs deciding to decorate your garden with your waste!

Well made and robust
Purchased a cheaper version of a similar gadget nine months ago and the handle bent so sent to the skip. This model is more expensive but very robust but a little on the heavy side. Saying that this will probably last a lifetime so worth it. I’m surprised councils don’t offer these as an extra as I don’t know how we would fit our rubbish in the bin over two weeks without it!

Great
Worth the extra price compared with the cheaper version advertised elswhere, extremely well made, the amount of pressure it will take would probably break the wheelie bin handle... worth every penny, used on recycled bin that was 100% compressed reduced it to 50% easy peasy

Works
I chose this because it looked robust. I was not disappointed. And despite my scepticism-it works well

Great tool
Great tool. Very strong and looks a lot stronger than the cheaper ones on the net. They 40% more waste can be fit into the bin but I'm sure it's a lot more!

Strong and heavy
Really impressed with this, there are cheaper versions but this one will last a lifetime and is worth the price.

More expensive but it will last a lifetime
Ever since our bin collection went to fortnightly collections instead of weekly my family of five struggle to keep all rubbish in a single bin, even when we do the lid will not close properly, our solution until now had been standing in the Bin and doing the Bin shuffle (A combination of dancing to Lets twist again by Chubby Checkers and Jump Around by House of Pain) the other option was asking Michael Flatley to do The River Dance whilst standing in my bin, sadly I don't have his contact details, I also understand he has now retired so I can no longer ask this favour of him.Sadly due to a health issue I can no longer jump in the bin myself and The Victorian Child Labour laws mean I can't my send children up the chimneys to clean them or put them in the bin to squash the contents down as this is frowned upon, I know telling them to do the bin shuffle would certainly bring the wrath of Social Services down on me.My only other option I could see was to get a Bin Compactor, after checking out half a dozen different versions I chose the Bin Trasher and having had it for a couple of weeks now I am very happy with my choiceNearly all the compactors I checked out appeared to be made of thin tubular steel that had been pressed and drilled, for what they cost they are value for money but lets be honest they will probably bend, twist and brake in a matter of a year or 2 as the metal looks pretty flimsy, they may last longer if they are stored it in the house but lets be honest not many people including myself will store it indoorsThe Bin trasher has a Heavy Duty feel to it and its built to last, all the joints have proper heavy duty welds which will probably take all the weight I could chuck at them, I know the bin will have to be replaced long before the Bin Trasher will, I guess I might even be replaced before the Bin Trasher is. yes it costs twice as much as the other compactors but in my opinion its worth every penny. The only negatives I could think of were1. Because of the quality of the Bin trasher it feels a lot heavier than the other Bin compactors that I tried2. If you need to compact the bin when its already full you will need to be taller than average or you will need a good little step ladder or step to stand onmy last bit of advise is don't wait till the bin is full before using it, if you start when it half full you can compress as you go, you get more rubbish in and you don't need to press down so hard

Incredibly dangerous
These are incredibly dangerous. I broke my knee using a very similar one. Don't even think about it, unless you're prepared to build a box capable of holding the entire bin in position, AND providing a separate axis for the crushing lever that doesn't depend on the plastic bin holding.
