I also wear 8-8.5 wm shoe and I purchased a 38 ... it fits great. A tiny bit snug at first but the leather gives a little.

Q: The shoe i know is unisex, but the size i have to pick up is mens size or womens?

They come in both men’s and women’s. I did not purchase a man’s shoe. Both pairs I purchased were listed as a women’s shoe. Size 7.
