Teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution

A must read for anyone involved with education.
This is an indispensable text for anyone involved with schools, especially teachers and administrators, as we have frank discussions on what school should look like to truly reflect what our world needs now more than ever. The authors highlight case studies from around the globe of successful models that can be adapted to any place and provide both the big ideas as well as the practical examples to strengthen our students' experiences and help them to become global citizens capable of using technology to close equity gaps, not widen them. This is my new "go to" gift for teachers and administrators in my district.

Absolutely VISIONARY !!!
I was so impressed by so much of the insight this book offers - somethings I, as a teacher, have been saying myself , but so many - that ring so true - that I hadn't even considered before - made me want to teach another 20 years to be able to be that teacher who leads our kiddos appropriately into the future!! OUTSTANDING STUFF - this book delivers a very well-thought out look into what the future of education should be - and the future is now!

Best of all
I was honored to read an early copy of this work. As someone who has worked as a teacher in the trenches for about a decade, I found this book to be inspirational, yet extremely practical. Using the context of the "Fourth Industrial Revolution," as mentioned above, several major questions are addressed: Are we really preparing our students for the challenges they will face? Will technology ever replace teachers? The authors each have their own spin on these questions, but essentially, they all support the urgency for education to be rooted in human relationships and empathy. We must empower our students to solve problems with "solutionary and socially conscious" mindsets way before they graduate. This book fuels my purpose to help students become citizens, actively involved in bringing positive change to their world community. Best of all, the authors provide dozens of tried and true examples of how to put their ideas into practice. Learn from the best teachers from around the globe. All proceeds go towards global teacher projects. I highly recommend reading this book. It is a game changer.Follow the authors on Twitter: @DoucetArmand @ElisaGuerraCruz @msoskil @zelfstudie @jelmerevers @TheLopezEffectThank you to these six amazing co-authors of Teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Standing at the Precipice for your dedication, patience and leadership in helping teachers like me take steps in empowering our students.

Nice insights on the future of education
I especially loved the powerful epilogue. This book carries us to the conception that we, as educators, need to see further from our established curriculums. I started to do so from 2017 and I canโt complaint at all. Reading books like this can surely help us to keep a clear path on a holistic conception of education.

Useful, enlightening, interesting
A must read for teachers interested in being at the top of their game, well informed and at the edge of pedagogical innovation. I specially enjoyed the chapters about education around the world, inequity and technology. The authors know what they are talking about. The book is also easy to follow and interesting to read.
