Filters are a bit smaller than brand name ones they replace, but are good enough to use.

I have ordered these a few times since we got the fountains. If you clean or rince the filter it will maintain cleanliness of your pets water for about two weeks before needing to change it. We have two if these fountains and deep clean the fountain once a week or so.
