Purchased for my son's Duke Of Edinburgh award trek and he reported that it was easy to pack, light to carry and tasted great - worked out well for him.

Perfect after a day on the West Highland Way. These meals rehydrate fully and, unlike the ones from a well known outdoors shop in the UK, had zero crunchy or rubbery meaty bits to deal with. Next trip, I’m only taking these 1000kcal plus meals. They were fantastic.

i always use these on solo expeditions into the highlands , i can afford to get lost for a full 10 days , confident with these lightweight meals , theres water everywhere within minutes , i fully reccomend the chicken tikka /corma meals .. anything beef with freeze dried foods ( all brands ) are a bit to chewy ,, also blueberry porridge and strawberry porridge are awesome , always get the 1000 cal meals , as you burn a lot more calories doing mountains , they fill you up , taste great never given me any type of stomach problems , add salt to taste ( im a sucker for salt and scarry a small bag ) the meals are unsalted .. it really enhances the flavours , i totally rate expedition foods chicken meals , and porridges ,, when getting lost for any length of time , i can pack 20 for a week , which would be impossible with some other meals

Nutritional information is incorrect. I specifically bought this for low salt content, however the content is higher then the image shows.

Quick and delicious mountain meal. Brilliant for long hiking trips - used on a mountain hike above the snow line in the alps and they kept us on our feet.

The packet came with a split at the top (middle top seam), & some had spilled out in the parcel packaging. We have taped up the packet and have to take it -no time to replace. Hope it is ok, but as it is supposed to be sealed dry food this is really not good at this price.
