It took me ages to decide what fence treatment to get & a good friend recommended this product although expensive it's proved a good choice.

I bought this product to treat and protect rotten wood on the floor and sidewall of my shed after I had removed and replaced the worst of the rotten wood. It is a water based product which was easy to apply and soaked well into the wood. It took some time to dry out but there were no noxious fumes. I applied a protective, wax based, coloured product to the outside of the shed to improve water repellancy.How well does it work? Time will tell. I'll let you know if the rot starts again

But the tin came so bashed about that I had to decant Wood Treatment into another reseptical.

The product arrived in a very disappointing state. The container was dinted and the product had leaked! At almost £50 I think this is most unsatisfactory, not happy at all!

This was used on garage roof beams for woodworm etc., I was prepared with overalls, mask and goggles. Only needed goggles! Hardly any smell. Soaked in very well. Very runny, but used long rubber gloves and small flannel wrapped round brush to cash runs. After applying this 5 star product, I did notice tiny little specs of white emerge on some of the beams, which was great. Time will tell.

I bought and used this product last summer but have just had a question about drying time so I have photographed the details from the can.This product is easy to use and I followed the instructions on the can regarding health and safety. Although this is a water based product, it is highly toxic and there is a statutory warning on the can regarding use of pesticides and the danger to the environment is not used in accordance with instructions. There are also warnings about wearing goggles and what to do if any liquid gets in your eyes.I used this to treat a new garden gate before staining. It was in the summer so was dry in 24 hours - the advice is to wait between 1 and 3 days depending on conditions. If you are using internally on floor boards, the advice is not to cover them for 3 days.I wear glasses so didn't use goggles but the golden rule of thumb is follow the instructions on the can for any DIY/garden product you use otherwise you have absolutely no comeback if anything does go wrong.All of that said, it was really easy to use - I treated the gate over two summer evenings. One point to note is that it will change the colour of the wood. The softwood darkened and the hard wood frame went slightly greenish.
