Q: Can I use the master tile as an expansion tile?

The instructions do not specifically provide an answer. As such, I do not believe the master unit can be used as a slave (or extension). The master tile provides the power connection for all of the expansion tiles. Note that you can pair multiple master tiles (and their respective 15 (maximum) expansion tiles together as one unit.

Q: Does anyone know how to get all 16 panels to work? We have one master tile but no matter what we do, only 7 will light up. We have tried everything

When I had the starter and the 1 add on it worked fine. Then I added 2 more add ons, those didn’t work and did strange lights. I had to do the reset on the master then remapped and then they worked.

Q: Do the squares have to be right next to each other or can they be spaced out? (ex: i have a bookshelf and i think 1-2 squares, per shelf, would work.)

The squares need to be next to each other for the connecting cable to reach.
