I did not have a cabin air filter in my truck, it had a sealed vent. I cut out the spot where it allows an aftermarket filter and this filter fit right in and the sealing cap that comes with the filter was a perfect fit. It does not make sense that the truck did not come with a cabin filter in the first place like most cars do, however this filter makes up for it and at the price you can't beat it. Good quality

The filter fits good. I could not believe that there was no cabin air filter in this vehicle for the last 18 yrs. I went on YouTube to learn how to replace the filter and was certain that the video was inaccurate. However, it was 100% accurate. I had to cut the plastic as shown in multiple videos which was the most challenging part. When I removed the plastic that needed to be cut, a lot dirt fell out which tell me I’ve been breathing dirt for all these years. SMH.Note: you only need to remove two screws from the black panel to install the filter. It took me about an hour to install it. But once you do it the first time, the next time will take significantly less time.As you can see the review is more about the poor design by gmc. But the cabin air filter.

It fit with modifications to make it fit on the vehicle... GM wasn't thinking of putting a cabin air filter but they decided to give us sickness because everyone is breathing bacteria and COVID....
