It wasn’t what I thought I was getting from the description. It is not woven like I wanted; it’s a bit stretchy. Meaning it’s not 100% cotton. However, I do really like it a lot. Nightgown is very pretty, well-made, flattering and comfortable. Unsurprisingly, there’s no fabric content on the label.

This is very pretty and the material is nice, worth the money.

Having purchased this nightgown, I'm largely satisfied with my experience. Its comfort and softness stand out, making it a pleasure to wear both at night and during relaxed days at home. While I was initially drawn to its described Victorian elegance, I've come to appreciate its simpler, homely charm. The gown's modesty and practicality for everyday tasks are commendable, and it has held up well to washing and daily wear. My only caveat would be to pay close attention to sizing and the fabric blend to ensure it meets your expectations. Despite these minor points, I'm happy with my purchase and would consider buying another in a different color.

This nightgown is super soft! I love the feel of it - for the record, it is 94% cotton, and 6% spandex, so mostly cotton. I washed and dried it according to instructions and there was no shrinkage. It came out perfect. It has more of a little house on the prairie look to it - more rural and less of what I think of than when I think of Victorian and all its finery. This is much more simple than that (and not nearly as flattering) - but it is very comfortable. If you are looking of flattering and 'elegant' as they described in the ad, probably not, but, If your looking for something comfy and cozy, then I would definitely recommend it!

While this product is soft, comfortable, and somewhat resembles what's shown in the photos, there's also a lot wrong with it as well. The color is way off (not the near-white shade of blue shown here, but a full-on light blue). The product falls straight, has less ruffle than you'd expect, has a cost that's above most of the competition, and does not have the overly loose fit shown off in the product photos. I wouldn't recommend this to most shoppers, unless you're seeing it on sale, and know to expect a degree of disappointment beyond the basics of its comfort factor. Also, the item is 6% spandex, so is going to provide a nice stretchiness, but shouldn't be billing itself as cotton (as though that's all it's made out of).

SUMMARYLet me start by mentioning I have bought a few nightgowns for my wife over the years and while none have been terrible, none have really stood the test of time with her. She would wear them now and again and then they would kinda disappear or sit in the closet. This is the first nightgown that she wears EVERY night and that we had to come back and buy multiples of so she could do so. By her description the nightgown is perfect for year round wear, warm enough in winter, breathable enough to be worn in summer. (there are long and short sleeve versions) The material (whatever cotton it is) is comfortable and the length feels just about right. If you like the style of these I don't think you'll be disappointed.PROSDesign:Like the look and style. While some may consider it a bit vintage. There is a certain charm of modesty and elegance that doesn't say "old". It's tight in the right places to give it form with a little bow at the chest.Comfort:I've seen others complain it is not cotton, the description says 94% cotton/6% spandex...whatever it is, it is very comfortable...light on the shoulders and floaty on the gown. Really acts as a lightweight blanket when lying down.Breathability:The option between long and short sleeve doesn't seem like it would make that much difference but for my wife it does. We live in a warmer climate where the days can be really hot, and nights really cold. Depending on the season both can vary. It is loose enough to let air in and even if you are hot and sweating it's not clingy. While it hasn't been the end all/be all for hot nights, it works just fine.CONSColor:Color options are a little hard to decipher, the A-blue is a little sharper as opposed to the softer look in the pictures. The B-blue is closer to what the pictures show. Nothing major but enough that it was noticeable when we opened the package we thought we may have received the wrong item.

Product is not cotton as advertised but a synthetic. Very disappointed.
