Kensington Slim MicroSaver - Security cable - black - 1.8 m

Really happy with the Desktop Locking Kit, the wire feels more substantial that the laptop one I had from work, and with the ability to lock multiple devices I was very happy with the result. The length of the cable is substantial enough for me to wrap around a desk unit, though the pc back panel (water cooling holes), up through a monitor, through the hard disk unit and use the cable bar to trap my second monitors cable. So the only disappointing thing is that I do not know how to buy more of the specific locking units to put through the cable.For those wondering as the pictures do not show this, the lock does unlock and separates from the cable. You can then feed the cable round desks and the included locking mechanisms.

Bought this two years ago to attend i52 and I cannot rate it more. I'm a console gamer so there isn't really much option lock wise for me until someone pointed me in the direction of this lock and it's perfect.I attached the sticky pad to my PlayStation and it literally feels like it's been bolted on, let's just say if someone tried to steal your stuff, they'd give up especially seeing that.I haven't tried getting it off yet cause I just don't see the point but I can't imagine it would be too hard or leave any damage behind.Unfortunately I've lost all the little bits to keep my peripherals secure and I've been using a different console the last couple I-series so looks like I'll be buying yet another!Don't be put off the price and buy a cheaper lock somewhere else. It's better to be safe than sorry!Worth every penny, trust me.

As many others said the product is really well made (Kensington never disappoints) the cable is quite long and allow you to secure your items (more than one) to a piece of furniture or like in my case to a radiator.The lock bit of the cable comes out allowing you to place the cable as you like, in my case it worked really well using the cooling holes behind me brand new gaming PC! A negative bit is the mount (that bit of square plastic with a hole to secure for example a TV) as it is made of plastic and the adhesive behind isn't the best ever, however you can get an industrial type adhesive and change what's provided and then you won't take it off for sure as the grip of that type of adhesive is terribly strong.I did not use the other two piece included in the package. Overall it does the job and in my configuration it works really well!

I purchased this product to keep my sons equipment safe when he's at LAN parties and it works great.Easy to install, feels like a high quality product and I feel safe knowing that the computer case, monitor and peripherals are all safely locked and can't be snatched easily.

I bought this as I was going to my very first Insomnia event (i57) and was unsure/ uneasy about leaving my computer unattended while away (especially during the night). My friends recommended I buy a Kensington lock for my PC.I can honestly say that this made me feel a bit easier about leaving my computer unattended for extended periods of time. Did it work? Well, I still have my computer with me today!!Also, For anyone using the anchor plate and complains saying it falls off, you need to leave it for a while to allow the adhesive to set and become sturdy before using it. That's what I did and I've had no problems with the anchor plate falling off.If you want that extra bit of security for a LAN event...etc, I would highly recommend this product!

Although I bought this kit specifically to secure an expensive gaming desktop PC, which it does do; I feel the product is let down by some shortcomings by Kensington, the manufacturer.1: Only ONE adhesive mounted pad supplied - it could do with a MINIMUM of two in the pack. [I contacted Kensington and they do NOT supply/sell additional or replacement pads/mountings.]2: The cable fitting ("U" shaped profile) supplied is virtually pointless and would be better replaced with an extra fitting of either the other 2 types provided.3:The final niggle (and the MAIN reason I bought this product) is the diameter of the locking end of the cable.It is a real struggle to get the end (minus the lock itself) to fit through the bracket (which is designed into the desktop PC frame) provided for this purpose. I assume all desktop PCs have a standardised size for the Kensington lock bracket, so WHY is the Kensington lock cable end too large to easily fit it? I had to (slightly) enlarge the hole in order to enable the end of the cable to fit through.Those 3 points aside, it does now fulfil my requirements, but I'll stay with my 3 stars rating. Kensington could do better and take on board customer feedback. Make available extra fittings for this product.This product is NOT worth the RRP of £27.99, however I paid only half that using Wiziwoo and fulfilled by Amazon.

I'd give this 10 stars if I could!I was initially concerned when reading about the product as there were no details about the thickness of the cable (5.5 - 6mm thick). Based on the positive reviews, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase one. I am now ordering a second to secure a very different item. That's how confident I am in this product. It was easy to install and secure. I particularly like the protective coating around the cable so as not to scratch surfaces.I think a cable with a combination lock would be better as I wouldn't have to hide keys but that's my opinion.

Bought in order to secure my equipment at a LAN party. While I suspect if someone really wanted your equipment, they could get it, but it provides enough of a deterrent to prevent that, especially in crowded environments. That being said, the build quality feels solid, and it is quite smartly designed.

Per chi cerca un modo per ridurre il rischio di furto per il proprio hardware: l'ho usato in ufficio per proteggere Notebook, schermo e stampante: con un unico prodotto sono riuscito a proteggete tutto. Molto semplice da sfilare e apparentemente sembra molto robusto. Sono presenti istruzioni molto chiare su come adoperare i vari accessori da applicare ai vari oggetti da proteggere.

他のレビューでも方向されているように、付属する鍵は1個だけでした。紛失するリスクを考慮し、Kensingtonにスペアキーをリクエストしました。(kensingtonでは、Replacement Keyというサービスがある)鍵番号を指定してリクエストし届いた鍵が、使えませんでした。「同じ各番号でパターンが違う鍵が存在する」？これって、由々しきことじゃないですか？Kensingtonには、代理店経由で、問い合わせています。もう一つの可能性として、購入したセキュリティチェーンの素性。。。。
