Top Notch Mobile Entertainment for a Fair Price!
I need more than 5 stars for this radio. No scratch that, not radio, mobile entertainment system is more accurate. I put this in my 2007 Ford Taurus SE commuter car. My drive is 1 hour and 10 minutes one way and I needed something to support modern features so I could pair my phone to it. Well, let me tell everyone, this thing FAR exceeded what I was expecting.First off, the version of Android on it is fast and responsive. I was not expecting the snappiness of the OS. The hardware in this device is more than adequate to run Android 7.1.1 smoothly.Second, the sound quality that comes out of this thing is on par with some of the top names in car audio. Sound is crisp and clean across the whole spectrum. As a test I hooked this up to the OEM speakers just to see how it would perform. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Music, audiobooks, talk radio, movies all sound superb. Bravo Pumpkin!Pairing and working with my phone is effortless and just works. Due to the WiFi capability of this device, you won't need your phone for anything but WiFi hotspot and calls though. Load up your favorite entertainment apps directly onto the device and you're good to go. Amazon Prime music, Audible, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go (I get it for free, thanks DirecTV!) all work great. The screen is bright with good color reproduction. There is no auto brightness with a light sensor like on a phone, BUT make sure to leave the Brightness setting to Auto and be sure to hook up the Orange ILLUM wire. This way, when you turn your lights on, the screen dims. Capacitive touchscreen is nice and responsive. All in all this thing is well worth the price.

Love this unit ..very versatile ..
Tried a similar 'double din' set up ..but would not fit my application ..so ..I took a chance and went with a Pumpkin ..the install was not difficult at all ..I also purchased a Metra plug for GM radios ..and interfaced the unit connector with it using solder and heat shrink tubing ..so ..kept the install looking very clean ..Unit Performance: very satisfied ..the unit can receive user apps ..to personalize the functionality ..locked into my phones Bluetooth and hotspot very easily ..and sound quality is excellent ....also want to mention ..screen deployment has a full range ..and when my bezel was put back in place ..the screen could not go to the end of its stroke ..but ..not mentioned in the user manual was this: simply tapping the 'open\close ' button at your desired position will set the screen to the proper position ..found it by accident but its pretty cool as my vehicles bezel sticks out about a 1/2 inch from the dash ..love this unit ..as it allows audio/video from multiple sources ..

Nice
I have the 6.0 version, hardware is the same. Thought I would show my review here since I spent so much time on it. I hooked everything up and it sounds great. High, mids, and lows all sound fantastic. Recognizes my 1TB power over USB HDD and 128GB micro SD card. I like the USB extension line; it has a special terminal so you can flush mount it to your dash. Would look very professional if only I could use it. For some reason it is not compatible with USB micro B. Won't recognize my HDD using that cable. If I plug it in directly to the USB rear port using my Type A to Micro B USB cord it is fine. Strange, but it is the same with my home computer; I can only use the Micro B cord. The RCA jacks left/right are reversed on back of unit. Not a fluke, it's the same with both units. Not a big deal, I just reverse the channels so balance works like it is supposed to. Phone contacts are the same with this unit as all the other units I've tried; doesn't distinguish between home, mobile, work phone numbers, just lists the person's name three times with each number. I would really like to be able to tell which one is the mobile number. I wonder if issue is fixed with 7.1 version. Mp3 player is ok. I use Kodi instead. Unit plays FLAC music files, awesome! Plays MKV video files, even more awesome!!! Didn't try the android mirror feature. I will add more to this review as I play around with it some more. Home screen won't show time in 12 hour format, other screens it's fine. Radio only saves 12 fm stations. Needs to be 18 like other brand Android stereos. What is odd is when auto saving stations it looks like it saves 18 fm stations but there is only fm1, fm2. Font size is too large when displaying radio info, needs to be smaller so more info shows at a time. For some reason some stations show entire song title/artist in small print below area of large print. It's strange that it doesn't do that for all radio stations that provide song info. Graphics on front display (left and right of where radio station is displayed) do nothing and are ugly. Would be better if letters could be displayed the full width so longer words can be displayed like song artist for mp3's. Back up camera connections work fine, I like that there is a wire for power to the camera.
