It fits in your hand just like a pen but a bit heavier, which helps you guide it for scribing / etching. I managed to use it to etch out some thin perspex shapes which aided its removal so I was impressed.

I used this to inscribe onto candles symbols it's very easy to use too

Cheap good value for money

Was really happy until I went to use it and realized the carbide tip is not fitted square in the holder. Poor finish has let down this tool.

The tip of this scribe is robust and sharp, with a large angle, which helps in cutting amorphous materials, such as glass. Other scribes are not good for glass, as their tips are too delicate, or not so sharp.

Nice heavy weight scriber used to open bacterial ampoules. Scores a deep line with the sharp carbide tip. Exactly what I needed and does the job perfectly!

This product is ideal for glass engraving outlines unfortunately Amazon delivery system let me down and the product turned up too late for me to use at a craft workshop.
