Great tool!
Bought with 200mm blades. This really is a good tool. I've used it in heavy clay that had a fair few stones in it (south hertfordshire UK) and as long as the stones aren't too big it will do the job. They key thing is that because it is not a helical borer you can cant the shaft over and get uder any stones you encounter, which isn't possible with a helical at deeper depths. I used a 200mm blade to bore 60cm deep holes for three-inch posts. You need a fair bit of strength in heavy ground and the handle has taken it without a problem so far. The detachable blades are very sturdy and well attached. It's easy to carry horizontally as well, the oval shaped shaft sits nicely in the hand and esures that the wide handle remains vertical while you walk about. A bit pricey copared to other borers, but well designed and worth the money in my view.

Fence posts and planting
Using to dig down for fence posts and it's a great little tool. The fact that there's only the one blade set rather than a whole spiral like with some, means you don't get stuck on too many obstacles. Plus the measurement gauge means you can get the posts at the same depth. Expensive but very useful. Thinking I might utilise after the fence is in to plant up some bushes and trees etc so hoping to get more use after it even after the fences are up.

Sharp and effective
I had a 4-post compost heap to assemble and fit, the posts are 85mm square and extended 400mm into the soil. This attachment fitted on the Fiskars augur easily and made a reasonable and tidy job of the holes. Stones etc eventually are pushed aside or pulled through the gaps. It’s important to lift up the tool every two inches or so otherwise the plug of soil can be quite heavy to deadlift upwards (watch your back!). Supplied Allen key is a bit of a novelty, I’d use a proper one. The only improvement I would make to the tool would be to fit a spirit level in the handle, as you need to get the holes level.

Well designed and effective
The fiskars hole drill system is the best by far. The single pair of blades is more effective that a traditional screw type design. I have the small 100mm blades and this bigger set. I used them to create my mini golf course as well as cutting through clay soil when planting.

Very easy and simple to use
The hand garden drill is brilliant does exactly what it says, so easy to use I brought it for my Dad who is 81 years old who loves it and hasn’t stopped using it to plant plants and even used it to make a bore hole for footings

Brilliant
Simply brilliant. Fast safe and makes fencing so easy. Had tried an eltric auger and standard post hole digger abd both failed to get to depth. Well worth buying the additional blades for different hole sizes as this tool is simply brilliant at making holes thought rough ground
