Used this setup to replace vent-free gas logs. Gas logs looked great and gave off a lot of heat but vent free or not, they were expensive to run. This does the job perfectly. Looks fairly realistic, enough to add a little atmosphere to the room at least, and has the added bonus of using with or without heat. Don’t buy it for the “cracking log sound effects” though…that noise is simply hideous. Arrived quickly, worked right out of the box.Very happy.

if you want a simple review... GET IT! there, simple done... in detail this is great for many reasons. it plugs in to an outlet with ease, and as long as you dont overload the outlet you will be in good shape. the logs look great at a distance and up-close. the remote is your phone and the interface is super easy and when you turn it off it saves your settings and when you turn it back on they are back on. the heat output isnt super high compared to others i have had but this one looks beautiful, and is so easy to use. the multiple flams colors are fun but the traditional orange is my favorite and the light crackling in the background i grew to love. you can set up auto features to have it turn on at a certain time and off at a certain time or after a number of hours. and yes, it can be turned on or off anywhere as long as the unit is on the home wifi system, i can turn it on at work before i leave so i can come home to the cozy glow. i do wonder if the heater is not working right for mine because its warm but really doesn't heat the room up as well as i had hoped but like i said, i still love it. definitely still a 5 star review even after the down falls.

I've had this in my fireplace for over a year. It got my basement kinda warm, but I quickly realized it wasn't the geaters fault. It took me until this winter to figure that the fireplace was the reason it wasn't warm. Even though I would cover the opening with a blanket the outer bancket would be cold. I used a temperature gun and saw the fireplace was in the 30s. When the heater was on it would get to the between 48 and 55. So I decided to get the thin reflective insulation from HD along with the foil tape as seen in the photos. I did add more to the bottom joints of the fake fireplace place brick, because cold air diverted to this area. The temp with the insert off is now between around 55. With the insert on it keeps the basement warm and insidethe fireplace is around 108 if kept on. I also nolonger need to cover the front of the fireplace with a blanket. Before applying any tape you need to clean the fireplace out. I vacuumed and used soplapy water and dried. If you don't the tape will stick and the creosote will just block it. I think that's the issue with all the people saying it doesn't keep it warm aren't prepping right. The basement is the coldest part of the house. So if you don't properly insulate the heater will be fighting the cold air. The laundry room is warm due to the furnace being in there.My only negatives are you can only get the heater to stay on in the on setting. Any other temp setting it's timed.The other negative is you can't run the heater with without the light. You can run the light without the heater however.Overall this is a good buy, because we want to be able to use the fireplace in case of an emergency.

The media could not be loaded. Just what I was looking for. Purchased the bronze color and its absolutley beautiful. It was packaged with care and shipped fast! Was looking to fill in this empty space when the fireplace is not used like in the summer. The heater is a little loud, you don't have to use but most heaters are. Also, there are no crackling sounds, and I am ok with that. Looks beautiful especially at night!

I had nothing inside my fireplace because we're getting a gas fireplace insert AT SOME POINT but now that the Fall weather is acting cozy FINALLY I wanted that fireplace look. It's so easy you just unbox and plug it in. Boom you're done. It has many settings which I love! I will admit the cracking sounds sounds fake and I don't use it. it also has a heater option that I haven't tried yet. I tried doing the Bluetooth option but I'm not having any luck but the remote is working out just fine. If you're on the fence about it ORDER IT! you're going to love it!

This review is for the Turbro EF23-PB fireplace logs. This is a very good product and I believe a good value if you have realistic expectations. This is not going to look exactly like burning logs and it is not going to heat your home. I bought this for my living room fireplace. My living room is very large. I didn't buy this with the expectation that it would heat my living room, I just wanted it to provide some supplemental heat and that is what it does. My dogs sleep in front of the fireplace and they love the extra warmth. If you stare directly at it, it is not going to fool anyone but in the background it provides a very nice ambiance and gives you the impression that there is a fire going. And it does this at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with my purchase.When the logs arrived the remote didn't work. I contracted Turbro support. The responded the next day. The asked me to try a couple things and it still didn't work. They requested some additional information and said that they would ship a new remote but they they were on back order and it would take 1 to 2 weeks. Three weeks later the new remote was delivered (shipping took a week as it was coming from China). The new remote works fine. All responses from support were within a day and I was notified with shipping information. I would have preferred that everything work right out of the box but since it didn't I am very satisficed with the support I received.

We recently found out that the fireplace in the house we bought a year ago is not up to code, and would be quite expensive to fix. We don’t really have the money or time to make is a useable fireplace, or to put an electric/gas insert in at the moment. We decided to get one of these, and we were lucky enough to get one super cheap as we decided to go for a used one. It’s not the best quality of a fake fire out there, but it can’t be beat for the price we paid and it looks much nicer than the empty dark hole of a fireplace. It definitely makes the room feel so much cozier.
