Marie Sharp'sFiery Hot Habanero Pepper Sauce, 5 Ounce

This has been my favorite hot sauce for the past 13 years, ever since my parents brought be a bottle from Belize. It's a nice, spicy, flavorful hot sauce. This isn't a hot sauce for masochists who just want to sweat, it's a hot sauce full of flavor that's used to add taste to whatever you're eating. It has a nice slow, permeating burn, which I really like.I cannot eat yellow rice without this. I also dump it onto my tacos. Word of warning, however: I tried mixing this with Tostito's queso dip and everything ended up just tasting like vinegar. So...don't do that.

A lot of the habanero/carrot blended hot sauces don't really work for me, but I find this one to be delicious. I would say it tastes like spicy vegetable soup. Good on potatoes, chicken, and other savory foods.

I love the original sauce, but I would probably prefer this slightly due to the fact that it is hotter, but still not all that hot.Like the original sauce, this is a pretty unique sauce in that it has a wealth of flavors (garlic, carrots, habanero, a bit of vinegar, among other flavors).Goes well on just about anything, especially pizza!

I was in Belize 20 years ago where I tasted this for the first time and remains my favorite hot sauce. It uses super-hot habeñero peppers, but is only moderately hot, which I like more than some of these "Death by Peppers" type products. I think the use of carrots in the sauce mellows out the heat. Not just heat but a tasty sweet-sour taste. It's beyond me why people use the outrageously hot sauces that overwhelm the flavor of the dish.

I BOUGHT ONE EACH OF THE 2 HOTTEST BLENDS. BOTH ARE DISAPPOINTING. THEY ARE NOT ESPECIALLY HOT BUT MORE IMPORTANT, THEY DON'T DISPLAY MUCH CHARACTER. I JUDGE ALL HOT SAUCES AGAINST MELINDA'S XXXX HOT SAUCE. THEY DON'T COMPARE FOR FLAVOR OR COMPLEXITY. I AM USING THEM IN OMELETS.

This is about the best tasting hot sauce I've tried. It's got some heat, just like the others, but the others can't come close to the flavor of Marie Sharp's. Don't let the habanero on the label scare you. If you can handle Tabasco or Cholula, you can handle this. But be forewarned, you will go thru a bottle of this stuff in a week without even batting an eye.

Too chunky for me, I was looking for something more liquid. However it has great flavor, I mix it with barbecue sauce and the taste is insane!!

My wife and I lived in Belize for a little over 2 years when we served in the Peace Corps. This hot sauce was such a find! It's got heat but also a great flavor.... gotta be the carrots. To tell you how great this stuff is, we ran into numerous people, ok 3, who had visited the country before and were on a return trip and were buying this stuff by the gallon to take home! Seriously, give it a try! Plus you will be supporting a great local Belizean company!
