Andrea Bocelli - Under the Desert Sky [CD Included]

A voice like Andrea Bocelli's only comes along every generation or so, (if that) Caruso, Lanza, Pavarotti and Now Bocelli; They are my big 4. Not only does Bocelli have wonderful opera skills, but also tremendous pop singing skills, as well. As for classical singing; Bocelli's breath control is amazing; no one holds high, mid, and low notes (sang either intensely or softly) as long as Bocelli does. His diction is excellent; His tone is wonderful; His color is right in sink to the song being performed, dark or light, and all shads around those as needed. He has that tenor ring that can rise up over an orchestra, he sings just beautifully. As for his pop singing again it's spectacular; Bocelli can sing a pop song either in a classical way, or a bluesy way or almost anyway. He has tremendous versatility, I would rank him right at the top of pop singing for all time. Bocelli can sing big, bold, intense and beautiful, or can show us a soft side it seems like he is singing in one's ear, very sweetly and beautiful.Under The Desert Sky: Is a wonderful DVD/CD Set, . Bocelli's singing hear is Romantic, Passionate, filled with Emotion and his voice will go right into your soul and provide you with delight. Bocelli has a certain vulnerability (for lake of a better word) in his voice (when he sings pop) that can fill you with peace. He is just amazing. the DVD is wonderfully done in a beautiful setting of Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada. You will watch it over and over again. This is a wonderful dvd all most 2hours long I would recommend this to buy his music is so mesmerizing you feel like your there great great man

Andrea Bocelli somehow snuck up on me one day. I'm not sure when I first heard his rich, wondrous voice but he had to have been singing one of the classic tracks from his  Romanza by Andrea Bocelli (1997)  album, his first stateside collection of sensational music from almost 20 years ago. I was consumed by his talent with  Andrea Bocelli - Under the Desert Sky [CD Included ], an evening of enchantment brilliantly orchestrated by David Foster and punctuated with many talents [like Chris Botti, Catherine McPhee, Ramón Stagnaro and others] that will surprise and excite you under a starry Lake Las Vegas sky. As I recently relaxed in the warmth of this program after a leisurely holiday dinner, I also enjoyed one of the most magnificent pairing of voices that I have ever heard, Andrea and Tony winner Heather Headley singing 'The Prayer' [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7MD7f1MsGs], a Foster masterpiece. The accompanying CD also includes additional studio tracks that only serve to enhance the experience; this is Bocelli at his best!Bob Magnant is the author of 'The Last Transition...' - a fact-based novel about Iran, Iraq and the Middle East

I did receive Under the Desert Sky and I love it. Unfortunately, I made a mistake when I was critical of the two items I had ordered from this seller. Both were in beautiful condition and I was able to play them both with no problems. I immediately expected both to be unplayable because they came from a vendor in the UK. I was wrong. The CD and the DVD ordered are both perfect and I love both. Andrea Bocelli is my absolute favorite. I never tire of hearing him sing. Thanks again to the vendor for an excellent job. My apology for having thought they had not warned me about the items coming from the UK. I love my purchase.

I love this video program of Andrea Bocelli, I only wished I got the blu-ray version over the dvd, but it worked either way.

Demasiado bueno

Doesn't surpass the Night in Tuscany concert dvd, but there's a lot of good here. The ever-bubbling debate about Bocelli as classical singer or not goes on. Truth is, he not only sings operatic arias beautifully (if not always traditionally), but his voice opens into new vistas with classical music. Some people dont know that before he hit the American music scene, Bocelli's big success in Italy came as a singer of Italian/European pop music, not opera. Bocelli has princely taste in musical selections, and in this concert manages to overcome Foster's fountains-of-lasagna musical arrangements with sensational singing, and an invigorating personality. He includes 'The Prayer' - this time with Heather Headley. No classical arias are included. Fan or not, there's little here to disappoint. A Night in Tuscany offers more variety, and more muscular singing by Bocelli, but this concert's designed for romance and it delivers the goods.

World class singing and setting. If you can look past the fact that the orchestra you see is not actually playing, it's a great concert to own if you're a fan of Andrea Bocelli. I'm a musician, and I can tell when what I'm seeing onscreen doesn't match what I'm hearing. Don't get me wrong, they did a great job, as they actually incorporated SOME of the live musicians(some solos, and rhythm section, not all) into the "pre-recorded" mix. It was very well done, and I'm sure will fool alot of viewers. But, as I said, the singing was "live", and his voice is just magic, as far as I'm concerned, and the setting was just lovely. The material is from my favorite album of Mr. Bocelli, "Amore". If you love Andrea, you'll love this concert.

Having purchased the Amore CD and DVD set when it was released, I then watched the fuller concert on TV, and had decided that I would have to purchase a DVD of the fuller concert because I enjoyed it so much, albeit that each time I found the DVD it was out of stock.Then just before Christmas 2022 I received an email from Amazon, and there was the DVD.Accordingly I thank Amazon, and for it being delivered across Europe, it was well worth the sixteen-year wait.If you can find it, this DVD of Bocelli's first 'pop' concert, is a delight in a delightful setting - to be enjoyed by most regardless of their music preferences, so too the Amore CD

After viewing an earlier concert featuring Andrea Bocelli and other guests with Pavaroti a couple of years ago I was delighted to see how much Andrea Bocelli has matured in those few years.This is probably the best concert I have seen. Through Andrea Bocelli and his guests I have a much deeper appreciation of the beauty of music and have also been introduced to singers and instrumentalist of whom I was previosly unaware.I have since tracked the biographies of those performers with great interest and purchased other DVD's of their concerts.Although many of the tracks are delivered in the Italian language all who hear this concert will be enthralled by it. I have since downloaded lyrics in both Italian and English for all songs on this album and have set myself the task to be able to sing one track in Italian a language with which I am unfamiliar by end July.Friends had spoken to me of the beauty of Tuscany and this concert really reinforced their beliefs.The Teatro De Silenzio open air theatre in Tuscany is a wonderful venue.If you do not purchase this album you will have truly missed something beautiful.John Barnes (Bangkok Thailand)

Another superb recording my Andrea Bocelli. I love all his work both classical and the lighter love songs, etc.His voice conveys such a depth of feeling that I find all his work deeply moving. I have music playing most of the day in my home and Andrea Bocelli is probably my all time favourite. I love this dvd - it is an extra bonus to be able to watch him as well as just listen.

This is a great DVD, wonderful songs and delightful ambience, thoughly enjoyed by family over Christmas. The selection of songs is very open to enjoyment by all, you dont have to be an Opera buff, infact it maybe disappointing to them as its an easy listening Bocelli DVD. We loved it and would highly recommend it for people who enjoy a great voice and beautiful songs.
