I ordered this weighted blanket for myself. I find weighted blankets very calming/relaxing. I prefer this smaller children's size to put over my lap while watching TV. The larger adult-size blankets are so much bigger and harder to move around. This is a great size to cover up with. The quality of the blanket is good. There is a soft minky side, and then a smooth cotton side. I weighed it and it came in right around five pounds. This blanket comes in a nice clear zip-up bag, that would work great for storage or travel.

It is, of course, sized more for children, but is plenty big enough for a smallish to average adult like me. The weight is just right for casual use for an adult or use for sleeping in a child's bed.Not machine washable. Spot clean it. The weight will unbalance your washer drum, and possibly even break it. No laundromat will let you wash it in their machines, either. If using on a child's bed, be aware of any of that child's propensity to bed wetting or being a little dirty before headed to bed.

I ordered the pink color blanket for my 3 year old granddaughter Opening up the package you can immediately tell its of good solid quality. The stitching around it is tight and neat. The pattern of it is so cute they look like tiny little balls all over it but they're part of the material. It's extremely soft and my little one loves to rub her cheek on it. For my 3 yr old I feel it might be a bit on the heavy side because she didn't want to put it on her but uses it to lay on it to play. I think a child that's maybe around 4 years and up would appreciate it better. By no means is this a fault but rather a personal choice for my little one. It washes and dries nicely. It's a great purchase for the quality and price.

She's about 32 lbs and I read that a weighted blanket shouldn't be more than 10% of your body weight.When I put her down for her nap she didn't go to sleep right away but she didn't move around either. The blanket is soft on both sides, one being textured. The color is a nice grey.
