I've been really impressed with this item and feel its good value for money. Its really sturdy, you can lean on it. The mechanism to move it up and down is smooth, when its up and you want to lower it you do need to apply a bit of body weight to push it down but you can move it up or down by small amounts easily to get to the right position for you. I'm 5ft 9in and I don't have it at the full height so it would suit taller people.Lots of room for my laptop and screen, mouse and other items, it doesn't feel pinched ( I have the larger version)It is quite heavy so once in situ you're not going to want to be moving it aboutMy posture is so much better stood up, really hoping this helps my upper back which has been suffering by being hunched over the laptop

Seems to be a very good - well build, study and a smooth movement. However there is no hole as the photos show and description states to take a monitor arm. No mention of this in the manual so not sure whether you're expected the drill one or whether the listing is out of date.

I'd developed a back issue (dodgy disc) and sitting down for any length of time was a really painful. Since I work in IT that's an issue, so when working from home I got one of these things. Very solidly put together, height adjustable and easy to lift to correct height. I got the 80x51cm size which is fine for laptop, mouse and space for few papers as well as deep enough to rest arms on. Only drawback for some maybe the weight which may not be much of an issue if leaving in the same place all the time. However any lighter and it probably wouldn't be so robust. I'd buy again.

This is a solid desk top. It is heavy, but once in place holds a lot of weighty equipment.

A solid piece of equipment which sadly collapsed after ten months of use. I can raise the thing, but it just slams back down to fully flat. Dangerous, as it does weigh a lot and you wouldn't want to get anything caught underneath as it scissors down. Now I am left with an unusable hunk of metal on my desk.

It's a great way to quickly get a standing desk. It's sturdy enough to hold my laptop and my big Apple screen but while it carries that weight it's not easy with everything to move up and down but if you had less on it - easy to move. But great value

UPDATE - After my initial thoughts, below, I decided to return the desk (credit to Amazon, the process was straightforward). So, why return it? There's a flaw in this design vs. the two-tiered version. When lowered, the desk sits on top of the frame, raising work surface a couple of inches. For taller people this might not be an issue. I'm not "taller people". It was an issue. While not necessarily a fault of the manufacturers - I can't blame Duronics for my genetics - it was reason enough to return the desk in favour of a split-level number.First, the good. It's a solid piece with the heft to suggest enough quality for the price. The mechanism demanded a little coaxing before it lifted up. Similarly, I found myself struggling against gravity when it came to lowering the platform. But, once in place, the desk felt secure - at least, I wasn't worried for the safety of my monitor. Importantly, it was easy enough to adjust the height to meet my precise requirements.So far, so good.Now for the niggle. This isn't something I've seen in any other reviews, but I don't think it's an issue with my monitor. When I typed, the screen jiggled. Not enough that I couldn't read what I was writing, but definitely enough to be annoying. Perhaps it's an issue with all desks of this style, I don't know. It seems a fairly significant flaw to me, hence only three stars.

We bought "used" and it was only the packaging, saved us £30. Really solid extending desk, an absolute Godsend. It is big, yes, but if you actually want a raised desk, and do NOT need to carry it anywhere, this is it.

[DM05D10] Acheté pour ajuster la hauteur d'une TV 50" comme 2ème écran d'un bureau assis/debout, je suis pleinement satisfait.J'ai d'abord reçu un modèle défaillant, le vendeur m'a remboursé, n'en ayant pas en stock. Je me suis alors tourné vers l'équivalent Amazon Basics, 30% plus cher, et là c'était beaucoup moins solide, la TV menaçait de tomber au moindre mouvement. Heureusement une défaillance dans le verrouillage m'a permis de la renvoyer également, et entre temps ce modèle était à nouveau en stock, j'en pu en racheter un, et depuis j'ai ajusté la hauteur de la TV sans effort un grand nombre de fois.Donc plus solide et moins cher, à acheter les yeux fermés !
