I have tried several energy/hydration powders and this is definitely one of the better ones. This one feature is a nice tart lemon flavor and while it does not taste overly artificial, it does leave a slightly strange aftertaste. However, it appears to be made with clean ingredients and definitely gives a nice boost.Another nice feature as that it has zero carbs and sugar, which is nice if you are also trying to follow nutritional restrictions. I would recommend the NRG mix on an as needed basis, primarily based on its premium cost. If that is not an issue, this would definitely be a good choice. I have not tried other flavors yet, but this one is definitely enjoyable.

Ok - so I’m going to compare this to other drink mixes in the same class as this one.1) There is a lot of powder in the packets compared to things like Celcius and Crystal Light. Normally I’d think that might be sugar, but this is sugar free.2) The flavor is lemony, and I can’t place my finger on it, but something is off. It’s definitely on the chemical lemonade side of things as others have noted.3) I can’t say I feel more energetic or focused, but I doubt that you would feel like you just took a hit of speed or something.

This is a great energy drink - it does what it says it will - adds focus and energy - without making me jittery or being thermogenic. I tried it first in the afternoon, when I always lag, and I had a perfect balance of energy through the entire evening - and I am someone who often feels like a zombie after work.Now...the flavor. It's interesting. After a few days of using it, I'm sort of used to it now, but it has a bitter aftertaste. Even 32 oz of water doesn't wash that away. I am not sure if the other flavors are the same way. As I said, I have grown accustomed to it, so it's not prohibitive, but I think I'll try a different flavor. I am also unsure why (at this time) the lemon is $10 more than the trio flavor pack, which is pushing me to try that pack next.This product is about twice as expensive as the current energy drink I use, so I have to weigh it if is really worth it to me, though it is still less expensive than a cup of coffee out of the house.

Used tons of energy products over the years for working out, to staying up. By far the best I've ever used. As a pilot I need to stay alert on late flights. I also need a pre workout early and late in the day at times. This product nails it all. Alert and excited without the jitters or shakes. I also don't have to worry about it keeping me up until midnight if I take it later in the day. The only energy product I use. Also love their hydration. The convenient single serving packets travel with me everywhere I go.

The NRG energy mix drink is ideal for my hectic schedule. I prefer working out in the afternoon and drinking my supplements before and after my workouts. Drinking this NRG in the morning frees me up from getting antsy and helps me prepare for my job responsibilities. The added bonus of the NRG drink is that it helps me feel full so I avoid unnecessary snacks. The lemon flavor tastes nice. I understand you can even drink it hot but I like mine chilled with ice. I actually prefer the packet sleeve mixed with 16 ounces of water. It still has quite a bit of the flavor which keeps me sipping it often.I run obstacle races for fun and this NRG mix is easy to mix and fill into my hydration vest for an immediate boost.Definitely interested in their other flavors! 5 Stars!

Tried these this weekend, one before and one after a workout. I feel like the boost effects here are good: I felt less tired after my workout, and I didn't get any jitters. I might not use after an evening workout as I definitely felt a bit more active afterwards.The taste is fine -- it's lemon-ish, but it does trend a little bitter for me. I didn't hate it but it's sharp for sure.As for the table stakes: the packets were easy to open and felt secure, like they won't pop in my gym bag. Additionally, I appreciated that they fully dissolved easily in the perscribed volume of water in my bottle, with no grit and just a few shakes to incorporate.I liked these -- and if you're not for overly sweet hydration, this might be for you as well.
