So much better than before.
I love the new colors! I grew up reading the 80's reprints and even at 8 years old I remember thinking that the way they were colored was very lazy. A lot of the panels would be just one color and it was a dot matrix printing style that looked very cheap and sloppy. The new books have much more detail and I love them. I have to get them all or die trying.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAH...More creepy goodness.
The Ghoulunatics once again spin yarns to keep you awake at night wondering what that strange noise might be outside. Here, we are once again treated to six spine-tingling issues that will take you to strange islands, introduce you to not so imaginary friends, and even reveal the Crypt-Keeper's origins. If you're reading this review you're either already a fan and curious about what others are saying, or you're a newcomer that's unsure what you might be getting into. Well newcomers, I can assure you you can't go wrong. Don't worry about your kids being 'desensitized', they won't be. I was no more than five when I picked up my first Crypt and have never looked back. Though some of these stories will have you peering over your shoulder from time to time, just to be sure no one's there. Now, shut the lights down, stop that corpse from screaming and get reading.

Boys and Ghouls, this is great!
This book is full of gorgeous (and gory) illustrations, hilarious (and often overwrought) dialogue, and puns. So many puns. But the stories still really hold up, delivering the kind of icky good time that Tales from the Crypt offered to a generation of impressionable readers.I was particularly impressed by the warts-and-all commentary between the stories. The editor was almost disarmingly honest, pointing out the good and (sometimes) very bad between the pages of EC Comics.Overall, this is a wonderful time capsule that has lost very little of its original spark. A huge recommend.

Nostalgia fun
Just like rereading all the old great EC stories I grew up with. I don't see these books in the stores anymore so it's nice to get them online before prices begin to skyrocket.

EC Comics still killing it after the company died. Appropriate.
It's a comic. It got here fast. Feel like a kid everytime I read it.

It would be highly unlikely to find originals in such good of shape for a price like
Very high quality copies of the comics in this book. It would be highly unlikely to find originals in such good of shape for a price like. Even reprints I have found from the 90s are often rather worn and washed out. Also, all the articles explaining information about EC help to give a great insight into what was going on behind the scenes as well with the creators.

Good book
Good book if you like older comics I like tales from the crypt and it does have the older vernacular.

Buy this for your Nerdy Son / Daughter
Incredible quality at a great price. I've picked all 5 up from various vendors and will likely take them to the grave with me.

Great fun!
Although of my era, I never got to see EC comics in the Midlands. Some must have made their way to England (there's a letter in this volume from a UK fan) but I can only think a limited few made it into circulation in London perhaps. I found it hard enough to find 'Famous Monsters Of Filmland' and my parents deeply disapproved of that! I was a massive fan (and subscriber to) 'Mad' in the early/mid 60s and I recall there was a UK edition of the magazine with a limited amount of UK-slanted content edited by a David Climie. Googling I find a David Climie (1920-1995) prolific comedy script writer who worked on 'The Two Ronnies' so it must be him I reckon. The comic art skills on display in this volume are stunning and the high quality of the book itself is a fitting tribute to them. One query: This is called 'Volume Three, issues 13-18 complete'. The actual comics inside are issues 29-34. Am I missing something here???

Would Buy Again but Will Never Sleep Again!
The shipping was prompt, it came exactly as described and the price was the most affordable one out of all the sellers. As to the contents of the book itself? Come on, it's EC. The art is fantastic (leaps and bounds above what other companies were putting out during the Golen Age) and the stories creepy, horrifying and intriguing. You can't call yourself a horror comics fan until you've read EC's mags!

Excellent historical works
Came very fast, packed well, no damage. I've wanted to add these to my collection for some time now, and theydid not disappoint. The books have great written bios and historical tidbits throughout, and the reproductions are verywell done. I'm not a purist, so the coloring didn't bother me as it is clearly a modern job. Closest thing most of us will getto holding these formative comic gems in our hands.
