6 x Scew Top Glass Kilner Preserve Jars - 0.5Litre

All glass jars work well and I have had no serious issues with them. I used 4 jars t pickle hot peppers and 2 jars for a tomato paste I made and have now sitting in my fridge. My only gripe is the lids feel a little flimsy and cheap. However, they still screw on and I believe airtight. Don't screw them too tightly as I got the feeling the thread may break (I didn't try).The process of sterilisation is quick and I was able to wash the glass Kilner jars in hot soapy water, rinse with warm water, then place in 110c oven for about 8 minutes until they were dry and sterilised. They withstand that heat well.I would recommend these jars for sauces, pastes, and small pepper pickling. Maybe keep an eye on the lid when you are screwing it up, and don't fill to the brim.

I use these for overnight oats. Good size and easy to travel with but the lids have started to rust after only a few months which is a shame. Kilner were unwilling to do anything about it

Bought the jars as I often do the mean grean diet using plastic gym shakers which never get the stain off. I had spent a while trying to locate a reasonably priced glass alternative. These kilner jars easily manage to keep the juice inside with no leakage on my 25 mile trip to work each day. To clean the lids I was with soapy water and let air dry whilst the jars come out clean as a whistle from the dishwasher. Very happy with these compact jars.

I bought these to pickle fruit, herbs and vegetables in apple cider vinegar. Just the right size for my needs and came with handy instructions.

great jars but woudlnt use them for pickles as the vinegar tarnishes the lids so they dont look so good

Wrong size delivered and despite them agreeing they refused a refund because I had used them. It was only when I used them I realised they didn't hold 500ml as advertisedFALSE ADVERTISING AND DISCUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICESHOP ELSEWHERE IS MY ADVICE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF

I was initially disappointed that I had Irene red the wrong bottles. But no, I use them for my smoothies, soups and home made juices. I absolutely love them. Very easy to wash and value for money too. I’ll be purchasing me. I wish they had larger ones
