Mine barely glowed. Instant landfill product.
Mine barely glowed. If you had tried to use this to navigate in the dark, you'd get about 3-4 inches of light before it would be too dim to see a surface. I immediately replaced this purchase with one listed as US made competitor, and received a product VASTLY times superior for an extra ~$1 per stick. The sticks I received were instant landfill - NOT HAPPY IN ANY WAY.The pictures show both size varieties that both came from the seller: Glow With Us.I'll be posting a similar review for the other item in the picture.**IMPORTANT NOTE** Both pictures were taken days after receipt with items being held at room temp for days (72-74F) BEFORE activating the group (3 large red, 1 small orange), with picture taken with 5-10 mins of 1st stick activation... This should have been their best performance period (after ~60 seconds of shaking activation/mixing compounds). I mention this due to the item listed as having a 3yr shelf life & for party like events. The small orange sticks were undetectable at ~5 feet away and were difficult to snap/activate.

Definitely not “industrial grade, not suitable for emergency use or situations.
The terms “industrial” and “military” grade seem to be used quite a bit as a selling point, this item included. These are definitely NOT industrial grade. These would NOT be suitable for a survival bag or emergency lights in the car or house. After activating a few of these, they didn’t create enough light to do any meaningful work or emergency repairs. They’re barely visible at 20 feet. If this would have been advertised as a children’s novelty item instead of “industrial grade” I would have given this 4 or 5 stars. This is a cheap party favor made in China.

after 24 hours i threw them in the garbage, and another 24 hours later
i had also purchased yellow ones from another seller, i did a test to see which was brightest and both were about equal. after 24 hours i threw them in the garbage, and another 24 hours later, i saw a glow from my garbage, the blue one still had a glow to it and the yellow did not! i will purchase from this seller again! (i use them when camping to mark the tent stakes so people don't trip...its good to know one will last for 2 days!)

Intensity duration was not as advertised
Used these to illuminate decorations for Halloween. Orange had a strong initial glow for approximately a minute and quickly dimmed within 10 minutes to a very dim glow. It was barely perceptible at an hour after activation. Green was a little better than orange regarding duration of glow intensity, but still not near what the chart indicated. The green lasted about 1/8 of the time advertised. The orange lasted about 1/16 of the time advertised. Have used military and civilian available glow sticks and these have by far been the worst regarding intensity duration. Would not recommend.

Good low light source
I’m impressed. They last a long time. Definitely NOT your cheap dollar store glow sticks. Working law enforcement in a large metro area, these are a great low light source to see what your writing in the dark. They also are great when your searching large abandoned multi level factory’s and warehouses at night in pitch black and you need to leave a trail for other responding resources to find you. Great to hand out to kids too. Be cool if there were deals for Law enforcement.

Light up the getaway
My daughter's January wedding will end after dark and the traditional getaway sendoffs with bubbles, birdseed, rice, etc. will either not be visible or are banned by the venue. Why not use glow sticks in vibrant blue and green to wave the bride and groom on their way? After a thorough search I found these quality sticks. I tested one and after 12 hours there is still a faint glow. I think the newly-weds will be happy and expect the photographer can capture some interesting photos. Now back to the wood shop and the table I need to finish for the wedding ceremony.

Per dollar spent this is a great deal.
This was 60 bucks for 100 of these and I'm adding them into my emergency kits for a location marker. I'll be honest, I wish they were brighter but I'm comparing it to what I know is LED blue lights. That's not a fair comparison. For 60 cents these things are actually amazing. See the picture of it's staying power at 8 hours in. Thats in my bathroom with the door closed. It's still bright enough to attract attention and show a location.I bought paracord to make swingers. These actually come with some thin twine. They might suffice but a 6 foot section of paracord would make an ample light disc when being spun overhead.I will be buying a lot more of these for my kits.

Hubby LOVES these chem lights!!
I honestly stopped counting how many bags we’ve gotten. We’ve had every single color!! I initially got them to pack in emergency kits, 72-hour back packs and emergency car bags. HOWEVER once my husband saw them….he used them all for “activities” with my kids and his guy friends hahaha. They last at least 24 hours if not into 36 hours. The Blue are the brightest and our fav. It seriously lights the whole place up without straining the eyes. We use these ones all the time when the lights go out. I have a couple bags hidden so they don’t get playfully used because they’re so good for emergency. Red also good on the eyes but is not as bright but good for marking purposes in emergencies. Green and yellow are also very bright but more to have in the hand and don’t light as bright as the blue….once again blue LITERALLY is like having a real light on. They’re still great! Orange i feel is equal to red. Not bright, but good for marking. White we have gotten once. It is bright! But it’s not easy on the eyes. If you wanna be found, white is the one to use though.
