Lasted less than a month

I use this to filter used vegetable oil. I use it as a prefilter and afterward I heat and pump it through a 5 micron filter. I throw in some pretty thick and gunky stuff. I let it gravity drain in this barrel filter for a few days and then i come back and scrape out the leftovers. This works pretty well and takes the least amount of time on my part. I can probably filter about 200 or more gallons before I feel like I want to replace it. I could probably try back washing it with a pressure washer, but it's not worth the hassle. The lid connection with the barrel is formed in a way that a barrel lid will not clamp over it. I'm not sure it'd be strong enough if it was made that way though, so this is something you probably have to live with.

I purchased this product to place over the drums we use when making homemade wine. Unfortunately I purchased the 75 micron strainer and this was much to fine. The strainer clogged immediately and it was difficult to clean constantly. I will purchase a larger micron strainer this year and see how it goes. Product certainly does its job and the quality is good.
