Aside from longevity (which I can't rate yet), I've not experienced any of the problems of previous reviewers. Mine came with all advertised parts. Several configurations are possible. I can create smaller and larger mushrooms with no problems. The light does NOT have to remain on the bottom and can be attached to the upper parts. I did zip tie the pump to a brick (for stability as one reviewer recommended) and placed it in the bottom of a cheap pot I got at Walmart and it fired up immediately upon plugging it in. The first night I was disappointed that the mushroom wasn't colored like in the pictures. I'm guessing that it was because I had the light ring too high (out of the water) and that's why it wasn't lighting up. I've moved it down a notch where it's actually in the water now and I'll check tonight to see if the mushroom is colorful (really hoping it is!). If I can get this figured out, this is a really great little fountain pump at a really great price and so far I absolutely recommend it.

I orderws this kit to replace the original light/water pump on my front water fountain that stopped pumping. I consider this kit an upgrade to the original. Compared to the original, this pump shoots water higher (about 2") vs. just bubbling over. And this kit features multicolored led lights that are very pretty at night vs. the original simple white light. It was not a perfect replacement because the fountain opening was designed for that light, but I placed the wires towards the back where they aren't seen. It's been working for a season and I removed it during the frozen winter months, so for the money, it's been a good purchase and replacement so far.

Horrible we put this in on Saturday and it is already broken the pump will mot work now I can’t replace it since we waited to put it in until this past Saturday. Very disappointed

I have two ponds in my backyard. This pump was bought for a smaller pond but the previous pumps I had in there were too powerful so I was looking for an alternative. I saw this and bought it on a lark without high expectations so what a surprise for me! After I received the pump I was still skeptical but as long as it was here, might as well give it a shot. The surprise was on me! The pond works just fine and fits the job. The lights are what make it special and I can look out to the pond at night and see it just fine. I did put this in a pump bag so no leaves or debris affect the operation. I do have shall this pump running 24 hours a day so we shall see about longevity but its doing just great now.
