The Gambler Returns - The Luck of the Draw

If you love the western genre on TV you will have a ball with this film. Almost all your retired favorites make cameo appearances; some looking better than others (some in memoriam) but who cares!. They were all my heroes; I even loved the bad guys of which there is a plethora of them supporting Kenny and Reba in this flick. Like a United Artists reunion; almost everyone was there. If you missed the beginning credits (after Kenny, Reba and the Title), which are in alphabetical order, would you recognize who's under the Teddy Roosevelt makeup? The face, the voice, and the acting are unmistakable; my all time favorite heavy and good guy, Claude Akins! He also played Teddy Roosevelt in Sherlock Holmes & The Incident at Victoria Falls, a mini-series starring Christopher Lee as Holmes and Patrick Macnee as Watson. Patrick Macnee also appeared in "...Luck of the Draw" as the British gambling adversary, who did Kenny in the last time they played against each other.The quality of the film was good. Color was good although there was a slight variation in the two parts; it didn't rally make a difference.,The version I got did not include the transition pieces from part 1 to part 2 which was a plus, making it a real feature length movie. The audio was clear and crisp. Packaging is fine. Front and back of case were nice; no inside extras..This spoof is a feel good, light experience, with an easy-to-figure plot, lots of good 'ole rough and tumble action, and a romantic scene or two intertwined. I think it's one of the better Gambler installments. Was reasonably priced so you can buy it without breaking the bank and watch it again, and again.

I bought this DVD because the COVID-19 virus has it so that we cannot go anywhere. This was the entertainment that I have been waiting on, but I had to wait long enough for the DVD to arrive. It came today and the DVD does not work in two different DVD players as well as a Blu ray player. I tried to call Amazon to complain, but they aren't even taking telephone calls for me to tell them my problem with the product that they sold to me.

This series is a lot of fun and you get to see a lot of old stars and favorites of the genre which is a great tip of the hat to this folks that entertained us all those years ago. There was plenty of action in the story, lotsa pretty ladies and seeing Reba McEntire in the black leather outfit was worth the price of the dvd. There was the usual drama of the poker games, the various chases and back and forth stealing and recovery of the cash stake for the big game in San Francisco as well as the historical figures and western heroes that have made this stuff interesting and pleasing for so long. It looked like the cast had a lot of fun making the movie and I had a lot of fun watching. Thanx Kenny, Reba, Claude, Hugh, Mickey, Chuck, Johnny, Gene, Clint, James, Linda, Doug, Brian,Dub, David, Patrick, Jack and Paul. Also thanx to all the "new" folks that helped make this such an enjoyable, fun dvd.

I received all five of these movies for my birthday because I enjoyed them so much when they came out. I haven't seen them since so it's almost like watching them for the first time. Reba is very good in her role too. These movies are also fun because of the actors who are in them. I'm thrilled to see Bruce Boxleitner again too, he's always been a favorite of mine. I recommend these movies to anyone who enjoys westerns. These have very serious moments and light comedic places also. Very enjoyable!

Was never really into the Gambler movies, BUT this one is totally exceptional! Reba in her black Western outfit and seeing her shoot the bad guys was great! Seeing Bat, Lucas and Mark, Wyatt, Cheyenne, the Virginian and the others was nothing less than SUPURB!! If you watched and loved these Western tv shows as much as I did/do, you'll love this DVD movie!

The movie is just plain dumb...but it was so neat to see all the older actors from years ago. Could barely get thru movie and gave it away at one of my yard sales.

THE BEST OF THE GAMBLER SERIES! I LOVE this movie because it has many of the stars from the old television westerns, Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Bart Maverick, Wishbone (From Rawhide, Cookie in this) and the list goes on. Definately worth the money, a MUST for every western fan!Tom

Both DVDs that I got do not work. All they show is a blank screen for two minutes. I've tried them in multiple different players and none worked

The film was purchased in the hope that Reba McEntire would be singing. This sadly was not the case, but it turned out to be a greatly interesting film as the number of old time western movie stars appearing made it a nostalgic event. It was great to see that many of them appear to have weathered well after all those years. There is a good story as well and it is a super film to sit and watch, highly recommended actually. The dvd arrived from the U.S.A. in great condition and earlier than expected.

Didn't work on our DVD in the uk

I got too many, dvd tapes of the Gambler Returns, I only need one,,,,, how can I return the other 2, please, I want to whole set of the Gambler I love Kenny Rogers,,,,,,,, RIP..... my sweetheart.
