I used in my smoothie some days a week, the flavor is excellent, and this power have a lot of nutrients for your body.

I bought this Lucuma powder for the flavor only, I have tried the fruit and desserts made with it and I love the flavor. Don’t expect to use it as a sweetener, it’s not sweet, yes it has a flavor similar to caramel but it won’t add any sugar like taste to anything. I’m happy with the product and quality, perfect for shakes made with soy or almond milk! I hope this helps.

The powder does not dissolve even in hot water. It gives the beverage an unpleasant, gritty mouth feel. If left to sit, the power will precipitate out leaving a mass on the bottom of the cup. Also, it is not very sweet. I find that it requires about two tablespoons per cup of liquid. I am not an expert but, if I had to guess, I would say the supplier added cheap fiber to bulk out the product.

Doesn’t taste like real fruit

Since the US does not sell fresh or frozen Lucuma, this is the closest thing I have found. Mixed with heavy whipped cream and sugar, it ends up tasting just likew fresh lucuma. Add it to merengue and voila. You will have the best desseret ever, gluten free.
