I brought two because it was hard to see the sand fall in the Black Sand. I purchased the gold sand but it's not accurate as the black sand. I was planning on returning the Black Sand but I will keep it I suppose.

I use this a lot for my 1 hour scripture study. Its wonderful to watch time slip slowly by through grains of sand in an hourglass. It’s pretty and it’s a great price. Thanks (:

I bought the 20 minute model to use as a sauna timer.Runs for 20 minutes 15 seconds.Pretty good for a sand timer.

Love the look of this 'hourglass' – Black sand pairs well with a modern aesthetic and love that it's just the glass and the sand, no stand, rubber, plastic, etc... Size is perfect on my desk. Only thing are a few scratches in the glass that were there even though it was very well packaged. Must have been scratched earlier before it was packed/shipped. But for $10 probably can't expect perfection.

Broke easily. Purchased because I read on the product description that it was difficult to break and thought my family could enjoy it and not worry but it shattered in many, many, many pieces. I wrote in for a refund or replacement months ago, but have yet to hear anything back.
